As part of the deal, Mike will be released from his current contract but in 2 years will return to Warrington and then be on a 2 year contract with us. Great opportunity, a Warrington born lad doing very well for himself. I think he fit's the aussie forward mould quite well. If you think of the typical aussie grinder type forward he fit's the bill.

Can't see him playing a lot of 1st grade rugby, but a least he'll come back with a cracking tan.

I think Cooper's a bit under the radar to be honest, even more so since Chris Hill signed for you lot. He gets about his business quietly and efficiently and I rate him pretty highly. That said I can't see him showing up aswell as some of the other signings currently over there and that might work against him. Best of luck to him though, can only improve him as a player and a person.

Hmm, with Coops going and Moz possibly calling it a day I wonder which prop we might be signing to replace them.......maybe someone is homesick already.........

Don't know why teams like St George waste their money on scouts when all they need to do is ask a question on RLFans.

Can't blame any player (with the exception of Iestyn Harris obviously) for wanting to better themselves either within SL or down under. Whether he comes back as a seasoned NRL pro, or spends two years in second grade, he's going to come back with life experiences and memories that money can't buy.

Does it, or do we just promote Glenn Riley to that 5th/6th choice prop position? Riley certainly has the size, do we start to use him more at the expense of Cooper for the rest of the year?

If Moz were to leave however we certainly will be in the market for a new prop.

Glen Riley and Danny Bridge can step up if they play to the same standard as they did against Bradford and they will get better Moz can take his time ! He will be off to Salford at the end of the season anyway and Riley is already an adequate replacement for Moz imo

I think he's underrated here - this two years may change his career for good, and I congratulate him and the Wire club on arranging a very good move.

I think he'll do well. He's a grafter, has improved his defence massively and has good pair of hands with good footwork, always manages a quick PTB. I think they'll develop him into a better player.

It's a similar move to when Luke Burgess went to the NRL, not many gave him a chance, but he's made a good go of it.

Good luck to him, whatever my view on his abilities I'd never have a go at anyone for wanting to better themselves, leave their comfort zone and challenge their abilities.

It presents us with an opportunity to change the squad, and potentially look at a different style of forward if we choose to do so, safe in the knowledge that we have first call on someone who is likely to come back a better player.

It's pro sport people come people go, does Williams want to test himself in Oz?
