When he was appointed I said he needed time and backing fully, and if I was proved wrong then so be it. After the defeats earlier in the season I was still proudly backing him, the culture needed changing I thought, its all on the players and their attitudes.
I'd resigned myself to this year being the old cliched "transition" year, where we'd just make the play offs or thereabouts, but with the group we had ,and Powells own additions made , it would be clear progress was being made while at the same time lacking consistency to challenge for silverware.
But whats been served up, I think I've finally cracked. To say I'm fully backing him now would be me just saving face. It simply is atrocious what we have become this year. We were all for a rebuild, but this load of garbage week after week? Even with new additions next year, would he genuinely turn it around? I don't think so anymore, it just ain't working. There aren't any green shoots of improvement, its just getting worse.
Despite what others say, I do think we are seriously in the relegation mire. Tonight was the game where a two points by any means necessary would have just about saw us home. Our fixtures from here on in are grim, one of them being Toulouse at which I'm utterly dreading.
