He’s clearly not match fit, and his round 6 was also way off the mark. It is right to play him though. He’ll be somewhere near in time for the 3rd face up with Cas.
As a Duckyism, match fit he isn’t, but he is seemingly struggling with not playing on top of the surface. Like some horses don’t go on the soft, he can’t seem to get his style of heavy paced running. I think he is crying out for a dry pitch.
