Atkins didn't even look at lineham during that run, he only looked for support on the inside and decided to go on his own when he realised there was nobody to his right. He is not a centre and never will be as long as he has a hole in his arris. He should play on the wing.

I read the posts about Atkins try last night but wanted to see the incident on the video before saying people were moaning for nowt.

Well I have now, so I'll say it. What a miserable shower.

I think people go to watch rugby expecting it to be like a computer game where every play is the same and you have 20/20 vision of everything around you.

The reality is that a rugby player has a split second to make that sort of decision, which they will make based on what they see, how strong they feel physically and how much they trust themselves to execute a skill like pass the ball or step their man.

Atkins made just such a judgement in the incident in question, and delivered the absolute best possible outcome: a try beneath the posts.

Ryan doesn't and won't get it right every time in those situations. Yesterday he did. Now suck it up and congratulate him on a great try.

It was a genuine bit of excitement to see him steam roller his opposition. He is the best centre at the club, despite his faults. His strength is incredible.

I like Atkins he's big strong and fast .....but he cant pass the ball and this proves it....
