It's an old nursery rhyme which kids used to use as a skipping song - when kids still played skipping. I think I last heard it in the playing ground at St Oswald's in about 1948. The "ally ally oh" is the Manchester Ship Canal which runs past Salford's ground

I was pretty steamed by the 2nd half and I've spent half the weekend trying to remember what we were singing. Quite enjoyed this!

I don't think anyone stood out but Myler was fairly solid although i prefer GOB kicking to Myler.
