I agree with you Teesside, it also negates looking like a fool or any other impressions people may have of the club.
Plus on a personal level I love it when a great signing just comes straight out of leftfield, it's exciting.

It had completely not registered with me that he was our new signing... I had a little think and then thought oh yeah he's just signed for us.
