| Is the Grand Final really a better competition to win than the Challenge Cup? So long as you get in the top half of the table it's just a cup competition in the same way. The Challenge Cup has a long and glorious history but the 'playoffs' is really just a money-making ruse. On the other hand you get to be champions and to play for the world title. I also like Wembley better as an occasion but maybe that's just me.

| Given a choice before the start of this and every season since 2009 I would have said the Grand Final if told I could pick one of the two to win.
However if I was in the position of a Leeds fan who had seen five Grand Final wins in recent years with six Challenge Cup Final defeats since the last win I would pick the Challenge Cup.
Prior to 2009 when I hadn't seen Wire win any trophy at all it would have been a tough call. I regard being crowned Super League Champions to be the ultimate goal, but on the flip side I would have fancied Wembley more than Old Trafford and the history of the Challenge Cup.
I honestly think I would have been equally happy with either at that time.
The competitions complement each other and are both worthy of their places on the calendar, but winning the Grand Final is most definitely the target for this club now.
