Warrington Borough Council has selected Muse Developments as its partner to deliver the £130m Bridge Street regeneration plan.
The scheme is the first phase of the council’s 25 year strategic masterplan for regeneration of the town centre and waterfront area which was agreed in late 2008.
The scheme is one of the largest active regeneration projects in the region; once completed it will feature new shops, restaurants, a gym, cinema, foodstore, indoor market, cultural centre, hotel and council offices.
Work, which is subject to planning permission, is expected to begin in 2013.

Blimey its about time that this part of town got a bit of a refurb, it has turned into a bit of a crap hole since the new shopping centre opened!

| I don't get where this is going to be? It says waterfront, so does that mean starting where Smiths is and working down the water that way?

| Don't forget the council were going to do something with Wilderspool aswell, yep, nothing happened.
If it does'nt involve roadworks, roundabouts and traffic lights, nothing will change.

| I think this is instead of the Winwick Street/Time Square thing, obviously both have been put to bed a bit by the recession. Personally I'm not holding my breath...
