Quote ="jdrocket"agree with a lot of that.
We need an Ian holloway character in Rugby League. Though'"
Not getting into an arguement for the sake of it JD...but
Balding. I like. She actually does seem interested in our sport....a damn site more than Lynam and Ryder, who looked like they'd rather be caught in a compromising position, in a place where they shouldn't be.
Even with the Wire connection, I'm not keen on Carney. I think he takes himself far too seriously
Arthur. Not too bad
Terry and Baz, all right, but it the eyes of the public at large, they portray themselves as a couple of thick northerners (which they're not). We should be aiming to get away from this stereotype
but your last comment, we need another Holloway type.....NO. He's a c0ck of the first order. Besides, we've allready got one. He's called Garry Schofield, and he's a bigger berk than Holloway, and nobody wants him, bar his crap paper column.
Despite their many faults, Eddie & Stevo aren't that bad. They've moved the game away from the Northern stereotype (some of the sketches on Boots'n'all they did in the mid 90's, made Eddie Waring seem like Jeremy Paxman). It's not particularly broken at the mo'. Dont fix it.
