RUGBY league legend Allan Langer has been charged with drink-driving.
The 43-year-old ex-Brisbane Broncos, Queensland and Australia halfback will appear in court next month charged with drink driving.
He has also been suspended from his role as assistant coach of the Broncos.
It is alleged Langer was detected over three times the legal limit at a random breath testing site on South Pine Road at Everton Park in Brisbane's north around 1.40am Monday.
He was charged with driving under the influence and was issued with a notice to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 19.
A statement released by the Broncos today said Langer had been suspended by the club until he makes his court appearance.
"While this is Langer’s first such offence, the Broncos take any matter of this nature very seriously, " the statement read.

"Subsequently, Langer has been suspended from all coaching duties until after he makes his court appearance on April 19.
"By taking this stand, the club believes it is allowing due process to take place. Upon completion of that process, the club will re-assess the situation."
Sad what happens to legends of sport at the moment, Gazza also charged with drink driving too and Joe Calzaghe having a dabble with the columbian marching powder.
