Quote ="moz88"Good post that on the whole. I am like yourself in some ways, I can't understand the concept of hating somebody because they live in somewhere you don't. For example, one of my best mate's girlfriends is from Orford and a smashing bird like. I have a few mate's from across the other side of Penketh, I don't let silly rugby things get in the way of that.
As for rugby, hand on Heart I don't really think I hate any club collectively although we may chant and sing about them on matchday. I know several lads in the 30-50 age bracket who say they hate Warrington passionately, mainly due to various bouts of crowd violence and so on, but that era is long gone and the halycon days of the 70's and 80's and a big contrast from today's family game.
Have to say I am not massively fond on Hull KR fans, as they have been quite hostile ON OCCASION, but like I say I don't hate them collectievly as it probably a minority looking for trouble.'"
I do, i hate Warrington rugby team and everything about i'm happy to admit that. I hate the fact that Paul Cullen is our coach, I hate the fact that everyday i sit on a train that passes through warrington station and i can't just leap out my seat and sing "We Hate wire" for fear of social rejection. I take great joy in Warrington losing, probably as much if not more sometimes than Widnes winning and the 9th April 2004 being the first away side to win at the Halliwell Jones is probably my single greatest experience as a Widnes fan
