If you don't mind me saying, moaning about a step forward seems a bit weird? true i did find it strange when looking for an online shop that the reds didn't have one, but they do now so isn tthat a good thing?

I will certainly be using it - has the things i was intedning to buy on there though (kids shirts and a ball)

Although the postage would be a bit steep at four fifty if i was only buying one thing!

OK , the timing is peculiar to launch an online shop to say the least .
credit to them that they have responded and put a presence online though.

to offer what is essentially now ' last years strip ' at full list price is silly , all other SL online shops are kicking out their exisiting strips at offer prices at around 19.99 - 24.99 , or launching ' next seasons . They should have some product at a discount as a tempter.

I'd also like to see a " membership card discount " for online purchases .

As for the girlie haircut comment , I stood next to the Bros' Adamson at the Wakey game and they both towered over me , Shoulder op or not I'm not calling him Shirley .

Wait, are they bringing out new shirts imminently then? have they said that? Maybe i should wait before buying them for the kids? would rather get the latest ones than ones that are out of date already!

I am getting the home shirts, so if they are only changing the away then i'm fine. Had the order in my cart then! will wait for firther input now

actually that has made me think of a question - do rugby clubs change their shirts every season? hope not as that really annoys me about football! but I suppose rugby clubs might need the money more?

Sorry ! not wanting to do our team out of any hard earned but I am 99.9% certain there will be a new design for next season ( our last at the Willows ).
whether a new shirt will be available in time for Xmas is another matter!

Both shirts change yearly and the revealing of the new shirts usually coincides with the season ticket announcement (which should be soon I think...). The away shirt has come free with a season ticket for the past few seasons as well.

From memory the shirt is usually out in time for Christmas, although I seem to recall us having problems either last year or the year before resulting in people not getting them in time to give them as presents.

Thanks lads, I'll wait i think! Will be in the doghouse a bit with the boys but it will be a valuable life lesson to them - patience is a virtue so they say

I am in no doubt the club do a lot of things very well but I think some supporters can see where improvements could me made. I wouldn't take some remarks as fans just being negative and wanting to rubbish the club. I think it's more a case of fans offering their opinion because they want their club to be as professional as possible. However, I do appreciate the club will have financial limitations and some criticism will be beyond the control of people at the club.

I don't have a problem with people offering their opinions or criticism's about the club,the way that it is run or even the staff what I do have a problem with is the continual negativity that some people have over everything that the club do.

We have had a complete newcomer who after visiting the MOM site expressed his satisfaction over the SCR section and the way that he and his family were received and some people aren't happy.

We signed a certain Daniel Holdsworth at the start of last season,several people weren't happy and said so,where are they now?

The sound system is too loud for some,not loud enough for others.

The beer is too dear,the wrong brewery or too warm.

There are ways at the club to put any queries or complaints it's just a pity some people don't use them.

I couldn't disagree that there are a small few on this forum that never have anything remotely positive to say about the club. I get the impression that they are waiting with their fingers over the keyboard for something new to have a winge about.


Must also agree with your negativity comment, it's something the club has had hanging over it for far too long now with the stadium delays, the financial restrictions and our league standing. I can only speak for myself and say that I'm a hell of lot more optimistic than I was 3-4 months ago. A bright light at the end of a long dark tunnel I hope!

Have a look on the shop now. They are doing a deal of the day for the rest of the week.

some people really do cheese me and i'm sure others off with the constant negativity. Should remember how lucky we are to even have a club like this in place and not be like oldham who are forever on the edge of going under in what i a rugby league hotbed.

I bet the same people though are one's who dont go to games and to Forever Reds meetings, who probably dont buy much from the shop or will infact use the online shop in this instance that much anyway.

Yep, just got an email about it - further to the email yesterday announcing the online shop itself.

I'm amongst the first to complain at certain things the Club does (or doesn't do) but in this case they appear to have listened to the complaints and done something about them. Small steps but now it is up to the supporters to put forward ideas for the Shop and support the products they do get in.

Does anyone know if anyone from the club looks at this forum?

For one I think it's great the club finally have an online shopping facility. I think profits could be maximised by when the season details come out, sell them on the shop, when people buying they might be more inclined to buy a new scarf, shirt etc.

Also I would love to see in the 'Books & DVDs' a selection of great games from our past, real classics, such as Challenge Cup victory, beating of the mighty Wigan in the 90's, more recently the nail biting victory over Celtic at Warrington. I'm sure there is many more people could suggest but I think is idea would be a money spinner!!

There will be some Willows memorabilia coming soon apparently.

Will that include any playing kits I wonder? I hope so.

I reckon it's more likely you'll see memorabilia additions such as books and DVDs rather than retro kits. Clothing and apparel could be subject to the contract the club has with Kooga.

Im sure they do just to keep tabs on us all

The Books and DVD section would be great if they had a list of exciting games and perhaps a bit you could contact them for a specific game, they go away to micron and see if they can get you a copy

As long as the DVD wasnt too expensive i think it would be a runner, stick a advert in the program, perhaps do a deal 2 for £10 to get everyone excited,perhaps lauch it with a video of a famous match @ the willows on the big screen or the vault with chips being served from the kitchen, members get in free non members £3 like a Ateam game?
