Chapel Street is to go under some real redevelopment. They are trying to turn in into a nice shopping area, like in town and it might be pedestrianised in some places.

Some of the drivel that's been written on here just does my head in (see above) `editing to a bare minimum' means just the `ers' and `ummm' and stuff were taken out. Even John Merry himself has written that these interview pieces are totally fair. No `salient facts' were removed by editing.

How many times do we have to say that the Salford Star supports Salford Reds - we've even covered some of the games and ask again that if anyone wants to report on them to get in touch. But we also have a right to hold Salford Council up to account for its use of public money. Or maybe nobody on here believes in democracy and transparency and stuff any more...

On the contrary - we're trying to make sure that there are some jobs for Salford people on the Quays and at Media City. As far as `anti Salford propaganda (you can't even spell it!) goes, two thirds of the Star is positive stories about Salford. Get real.
PS without making it personal, Kingston's family has been in Salford for over 150 years. So do one.

May I remind you that this is the Salford Reds forum, you know the club 'in Salford' with a 133 year history that you haven't made one positive comment about since the inception of your magazine. You really need to open your eyes to all the excellent work the club does for the local community.

And how does putting the wording in inverted commas make people understand what it is? It just looks to me (merely an opinion) like an attempt to make something sound as it has dubious legitimacy - like when you'd say "oh, that lazy so and so is 'working from home' again".

I know what land remediation is because I have a degree in Civil Engineering, a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Resources and am a member of a professional institute that includes Contaminated Land Remediation people amongst it's membership. if you are a journo you would understand a typo error, noticed that my typing is not the best and sometimes i may not strike the keys hard enough, plus my laptop has a habit of "bouncing back" ie the cursor for some reason will just bounce back into a word and because I look at the key board when typing I don't notice it straight away, hence a letter missing. Then on the other hand I could be dyslexic, you don't know but as I state you don't care about your sources and of the drivel i have read in your SS most is from people who it seems life is against or they say it is, after all bad news sells.

Loving the fact that on one post "Salford Star" manages to mis-type the tricky word 'this' and in the next criticises someone for mis-typing 'propaganda'

The new stadium live webcam link you posted doesn't seem to work. I then copied the link and pasted it directly into my address bar and hey presto! Unfortunately it's dark and you can't see too much at the moment but it will be interesting to have a look at the work being done in the daylight tomorrow.

This link doesn't work for me either but it could by my PC. If anybody is having the same problem and isn't familiar with copying a link and pasting into your address bar here's how to do it - Hover over the link and right click it, scroll down to copy shortcut and left click it. Then right click on your address bar and scroll down and left click paste and hit the enter key.
