I reckon everyone will need to watch their salt intake until they get the book as massive pinches are going to be required when they start to read it.

The most worrying thing here is that the position Alker is in ( ie not currently a successful coach / assistant coach) means that the only way he would get a reasonable advance for a book is for it to offer a scandal.

Shame, as if things had been different, he may even have been head coach by now.

I suspect we dont have the spare cash for a legal battle so he may be onto a winner.

When Malc Alker had his column in the Advertiser he was contacted on a weekly basis and interviewed and asked his opinion on various matters by then Sports Reporter Dave Lawrenson. Sadly the Sports section of the Advertiser has gradually but steadily gone downhill since those days as has the Salford Advertiser in general.

Looking forward to reading it to be honest it will be good to read about "the alker" years at salford, lots of crazyness which us fans dont know about being aired

Though, to be fair, you could have said the same on the publication of "Longy: Booze, Brawls, Sex and Scandal"

Trust me this book will be a good read for salford fans, from what i know you will learn a lot a bout goings on behind the scenes that you will never know.
Even though for legal purposes no names can be mentioned, which he was contacted and advised about, you will be able to assume who he is talking about.
Malcolms walk away from the club was an absolute scandal and he was being fixed up to leave without pay, i know the full story and those involved but whether or not you will hear about all of it due to legal reasons you will get a good idea about things revolving the termination of his contract.
It will be a great read as rather than partying stories which it will contain stuff there is a lot more about other people connected with the club and goings on etc
Malc is a good honest bloke, who served the club well.
Wilky and simms will be the first to buy and read this book as they will be cacking there pants trust me !!!!!

No Fungus everyone knows there aint many saints in sport, malc will admit he was no saint and his book will tell you that, but if your referring to him leaving the club please bear in mind Malcolm was settled by a compensation package from the club and was cleared of any wrong doing.
Malc gave a lot for this club and stayed with us through thick and thin and for you too start saying stuff like that is totally wrong, you tell me any player that is the best at any club and has never done anything wrong i would be in shock.

I can't wait to hear his side of the Jacksonville story. Wonder if he's been taking pointers off Suarez and Terry?!

I would never dismiss Alker the player. He was truly awesome and a real salford legend. I am however a bit more dubious about alker off the pitch, but will remain open minded

Would love too see some of you Hard Men say this stuff too Alker's Face, Malc was cleared of any wrongdoing and paid a severance package but yet some on here are happy to still tar him. No doubt some of you will have something to winge about when his book his released.
