Not a million miles off their team but with some of key players missing or had no friendlies/recent injuries ( Sau, Dobson, BJB, Griffin), their hooking options and front rowers I will be very (pleasantly) surprised if we come away with a win. I just hope our travelling army are prepared to give the team a chance if we lose

We got our 6 west stand tickets from the Warrington ticket office, don't know if these count in the numbers sold?

I wouldn't be surprised if we take about 1500 on Saturday.

There will be no problem at all, I think the end holds between 2500-3000 fans so there's no need to panic if you can't get down to the club. It's just nice that fans have actually decided to pre purchase for once as the club gets a cut of the ticket sales

Hi guys just a quick one rang Warrington on Monday as I live in Altrincham easier for me to get it on the day. They confirmed cash turnstiles are open and also can buy them from the ticket office hope this helps ,, by the looks of things I'm going to say that we'll take close to 1500 which is phenomenal when you think that's probably half of the attendance we were getting at home 2 years ago

I cant remember last time I was this excited about a match, in fact about anything really!!
Getting in to Wetherspoons in Warrington for 12, probably take in a couple of pubs en route to the ground. Tickets purchased last week, should be a belting day. Just hope we put a good performance in.
I also hope people aren't expecting us to win this, we are much closer to them than last season but that front row of theirs is up there with the best, Clarke could do us plenty of damage. I go with more hope than ever, but still expect a small margin defeat

Yes for me we need to start with Morley & Taylor probably our 2 biggest props which are more likely to contain Sims & Hill. There interchange props are not the best so as long as we can contain them early doors we have a chance. Keep the Faith!

I think he will go with Taylor and Tasi to start and they are Equal to Sims and Hill for me. Just hope we manage to win the ruck, if they start getting quick PTB then we may be on the back foot while Clarke is on the field. Hooker postion is always going to be our downfall this season, if the forwards are getting on top, we nees quick play the balls. We don't get that with Lee. I think Harris will go with Lee / Fages start of season and depending ln his progress Hood / Fages at end of comp.

personally disagree, hill is very good, level above our props I think. Sims could go either way, Asotasi had a rep before he came over. From what I've seen though he'll be a handful, very aggressive and just what they lacked last year.
Not knocking our lads, but think Wire and Wigan's front row are just a bit better than everyone else's this year.
Having said that, I think we are as good as if not better in every other position.

Chris Hill is easily the best prop in SL!

Unfortunately, no Salford prop comes close to him!

Last year Hill made 3258 metres. Our top metre maker was Morley with 2380.

I cant really comment on Sims as he's not played a competitive game for Wire yet.

Any more news on ticket sales? Going to pay on the gate, said they had quite a few left yesterday at reception.

I'm not disputing Hill's ability but the above stats can be misleading. For instance you have to take into account the number of minutes played and the total carries. You could have a player who's been out injured that appears to have made far less total meters but his average meters per carry could be higher.
