| Quote ="jools"any idea how much you contradict yourself? No further justice needed for tasi but wishing injury on murphy- a player who prior to this year had only ever been up before the disciplinary once in his entire career! Penalties are given against players who break the rules of a game. 3 times in 19 games is "getting it wrong" more than most. Even those inexperienced.'"
No further action needed. It was late, but it wasn't high. He deserved the red card, end of. Where did I say I wished injury on Murphy? I just said it was a shame it wasn't him in the receiving end as opposed to Brough.

Half a side? I said Eorl and robbo were also taken out late- one of those was put on report. The other may yet be brought up by the review panel.
My math is fine- I can subtract 1 away from 13 and get 12 not 10. I also know three isn't half of 17.

it was late, high and reckless, and he could have pulled out, that was my view of it anyway, disciplinary may see it differently though.

I don't think it was late and I don't think the initial contact was high. Reckless? probably, but only because it rode up. Like you said though, disciplinary may see it differently. They also may have better quality highlights than the one I watched which may give a clearer picture.

| Quote ="jools"I'd be interested to know your definition of a dirty player. Tasi has played one season in SL- just 19 games, he's conceded 16 penalties (the highest is 18 this season) but been cited three times already this season (late, high, shoulder charge-looks like he finally got one with all three!) that's more than murphy has been cited for in his whole SL career!
Ps I hope Locke is on the receiving end of a similar tackle. Let's see how your attitude changes then.
And 10 men- wow! Perhaps you should have been given Eorl and robbo were also taken out off the ball- stick to football pal- you can't know less about that.'"
You were out played by a better team on the day. Show some maturity and accept defeat gracefully rather than trying to keep highlighting the Tasi/Brough incident as if you want some kind of retribution because you lost. These things happen and one of our players was on the wrong end of a broken jaw in the corresponding fixture against you a few weeks back.

| Strange the self righteous giants fans seem to have completely ignored the tackle that ended with a player being dumped on his head, a tackle the giants have previous for, but hey it's much easier to recover from a broken jaw than a broken neck

| Listening too the game and watching the highlights it struck me what a good game Theo had and I did start to wonder if bringing in Dobson was perhaps a move we didn't need to make. When you throw in that Locke is an excellent kicker (a fact that had totally escaped me until yesterday) maybe the club might have been better bringing in Brierley from Leigh to use as back up in the halves alongside Evalds in an emergency and invested more heavily in a top class hooker.

| Theo was the best half on the pitch yesterday IMO. I don't think he's gone as well as some make out this year but yesterday he really stepped up.

i agree, i said to my mates that fages was the best player on the field, rangi gets all the plaudits for his skill etc but fages controlled everything and was popping up everywhere on the field, cracking little player, he would do well along broughy next year

Didnt know Brough was coming to Salford. Think we may have too many Half backs what with Dobson & Smith returning.

| Well played Salford, totally and utterly dominated and the scoreline flattered us in the end.
As other giants fans have alluded to, and certainly not to take anything away from a very clinical performance by your guys, we were absolutely awful yesterday and showed no effort whatsoever at times, someone mentions an 'in-form Huddersfield' earlier in the thread, maybe it's one of the amateur teams in the town because the Giants have been nowhere near in form, we've scraped wins when playing poorly and we've said for a while now that a hammering is on the cards and fortunately for you lot it was your team who gave it to us !!
Even if we had have played well I doubt we would have beaten you such was your team's confidence in the game anyway..no complaints from me, we were well beaten by a much better team on the day !!

| Well said, a clinical Salford performance though would have seen 50+ points scored. Only negative I have from the game.
Was Hock rested? I assume both he and Harrison H will be fit for Hull.

| Its not been highlighted over much but Pulatea had a great game with some excellent driving, offloading & defence. Earns his place week after week but on the other side I still dont see what Rapira brings to the party. Maybe I will soon.

I think Tommy Lee falls into the Puletua category. He was outstanding at Huddersfield .
Steve Rapira took me a while to appreciate but he's an integral part of a tough pack

I think TP has been hard done by off the fans this year. He's been consistently solid and not done much wrong. His work rate and offloads were evident against Hudds. Long may it continue.

| I’m a fan of TP too. I think he has quietly gone about his business in a season pro like manner this year. Consistently makes the hard yards.

| I think its hard to single out an individual for special praise because they all played great, but Locke and Caton-Brown had very good debuts. I also think Tommy Lee had a solid game once again.

He got through some serious work. According to the stats he made 41 tackles as well as being prominent in our go forward. I've not been his biggest fan but he's turning in some good performances at the moment.

| I think Theo fages had his best game this year for me he just pips TP & Lee for mom! Special mention too Locke & Caton-Brown who added pace to our attack something we've been missing all season. Overall there was a lot of outstanding performances no one had a bad game! Onwards and upwards!

| Just checked TP’s stats and he made the same amount of carries as Mozza and Walne but made 28m more with an average gain of 9.33m. Great shift.

The offload for fages try was first class at a stage where we probably needed it to seal the points!

What's that got to do with Sunday's game?
Best Salford performance in years. We still need to tighten up in our attacking, though, far too many chances going begging. But we're moving in the right direction.

| Think the whole team played well of course, but what's impressing me at the moment is our fitness levels. I've lost count how many times have weve had a rip roaring 40 minutes only to come out in the 2nd half and get toasted. We played twenty minutes of that 2nd half with 12 players yesterday, two months ago we would have been put to the sword. Big up the fitness coaches!
