What do you reckon PF, worth backing Salford with the handicap? Got done taking Salford =20 at Wire and think the draw at those odds looks quire tempting.

| 'IF' [iany team can beat Wigan Warriors it's our very own Salford City Reds.
Over the years even when Wigan were at the top of the tree they have never enjoyed visiting the Willows.
If we play to our full potential of course we can win on Sunday...
COME ON SALFORD CITY REDS.....[/i

I would aim for a seat in one of the wings in the Kennedy Road stand.
The North Stand seating area has always tended in the past to get rather full when we entertain the Wigan Warriors.
Wigan Warriors are expected to bring 3,000/3,500 fans to the game on Sunday.

I take my 7 month old in the Family Stand (seated upper tier, behind the sticks where away fans tend to congregate) and have done since he was about that age. Much better view than the main stand and you don't have to pay any extra either.
Normally no problem up there but I suspect it'll be much busier (and hence louder) than usual with Wigan planning to bring so many.

Didn't think he was fishing either mate (hence the ) - just trying to apply the same logic as some of the numpties on the Wigan board (ie. I'll say something ridiculous then, when someone points out my stupidity, I'll claim I was fishing and that they'd bitten?!)
Seems to be contagious though, our very own Black Cat seems to be at it as well now?!

It's on the official website. The club seem to be trying to encourage fans to do their marketing for them by suggesting you to "Download this poster and display it where you can..."

They should really print off a few thousand pay a few people or try and get volunteers to stick a few up around Salford, we should stick some up in Sale try and get some Union fans to come for a game, you never know they might like it, I mean whats the worst that could happen?

The club could waste a fortune on colour printing and wages with absolutely no impact on attendance/revenue?

True, which brings me to the point we should be able to make fake dummies, bring them and be allowed to take them in free of charge but they get counted as an extra person

| Wigan @ home is always a big game and it coming at the back end of the exhasting easter period certainly adds extra spice to the contest.
Backing up mondays performance with another professional and 100% commited 80 minutes of rugby league is going to be a big challenge but it isnt beyond the players i feel,.
Its all about completing our sets, building pressure and like last week earning the right to play.
Playing the big teams with the big players adds that little extra pressure but for me its all about how the players deal with it, we failed the test @ warrington and coughed up too much ball and made some silly errors im hoping the players learn from that experience sunday.
If we play out our sets, finish them on a positive note with clever and intelegent play and make wigan come out from their own 20 their batteries will run very low very quick.
Physically and mentally we'll need another superleague performance from the players on sunday, can the players produce two on the spin? Do the players have enough left in the tank after 70 minutes of 1st class rugby on monday?
Us fans have our doubts, but we can because we are on the other side of the white line, we'll be there tho when you need lifting, when you have run and tackled yourself into the ground we'll roar you on to one last effort.
But when it comes down to it, it all hangs on how bad you as a player want to succeed and what your willing to do as a individual to get over that line that seperates the winners from everyone else.

| I always look forward to this game more than any other. There is always a great atmosphere and Wigan always bring a fair few. It is great when there is a good crowd at the Willows, it is a pity we cant get one more often ourselves without needing others.

A very passionate post.
You can guess who will be a marked man tomorrow - Daniel Holdsworth. He's the best you've got IMO. A very clever player who is having a wonderful season for you guys.
A good tactic against our side would be to offload the ball in the tackle as much as possible. As nearly every journalist/fan/coach has pointed out, Wigan tend to have 3 or more players in the tackle. So if your coach has any wits about him he will encourage his skillful players to try to offload the ball as much as possible. It leaves gaps in the defensive line and will cause us some problems. Earlier in the season, Warrington were doing it constantly in the first half and it caused us all sorts of problems. That has been the only game in our season where we have been behind on the scoreboard at half time.
A quick question. Do you guys rate Shaun McRae? Would you rather your chairman (or whoever it was in charge against Huddersfield) to remain in charge? Personally, I've never rated the bloke. Salford are on limited funds and don't have the squad to compete (on paper) against some of the bigger and better squads in the league. So it is crucial that you get the most out of what you've got to be in with a shot of causing some problems in the play offs. John Kear (although an idiot for his comments after our game) does this with great success at Wakefield - especially when you consider the fact Brough has left and Newton has been banned. Plus other tragedies in previous seasons. Shaun McRae has just never cut it for me. Curious what you as fans think of him.
