An outstanding performance last night! One of the best I've seen in recent years. In truth, the score flattered Saint Helens - and it's not often we've been able to say that!!

In the last ten years we've rarely scored over forty points against top flight opposition - I remember putting over forty past Warrington and Wakefield a couple of times - but that shows how special it was.

I hope this shows the coaching staff what can happen if you abandon five drives and a kick and throw the ball about. The combination of Holdsworth, Henry and Gibson showed real flair and instinctive rugby at its best. More of the same please!!

Great win for us, I'd like to point out with J.Smith having a disappointing and frustrating time at the Willows, he did well last night for us! Gibbo, M.Smith and Holdsworth were all a class act to, I just don't get why we don't always play that free and try the kind of stuff we did against Saints and Hull abit more.

My guess would be Wakefield at home in '06 when we stuck 48 past them. Think we were on TV that day as well, funnily enough.

due to work i wasnt sure if i could make it but lucky i got off early and made the second half.What a performance from the lads,against a strong st helens team too,were making it to be a hard ground for them to come to .now all i ask from the lads is to keep it up and we will beat catalans.we beat saints last year and everyone was buzzing then losing to celtic was a horrible feeling.keep the faith.SALFORD TIL I DIE

Well done Salford. Must admit I wasn't expecting much from the match, but boy was it exciting.

What a performance some of our attacking play was outstanding, Special mentions to Gibson, Littler, Smith and Holdsworth. Talau was immense in defence as well. The question now is can we keep it up and take this confidence into the Catalan game? If we do we'll win no doubt about it, but this is Salford we're talking about and I still think we're going to get a good pasting off bottom of the league. Its just the way we are.

Does anyone else think Gibbo is wasted on the wing? He always looked better for us at centre and has too much skill to be stuck out wide IMO.

Yeah but he's not the best defensive player the world has ever seen.

It was great to see us actually pass the ball out wide for a change and we actually looked good. This was definately evident as my housemates who don't watch RL wer cheering us on!! It has mystified me why we always drive 5 and kick when we have never had the biggest forwards and our kicking game is usually poor. But it is much improved with Holdsworth. We've seen the results from passing it out wide and playing expansive rugby (Saints, Hudd, Hull) so why don't we do it more often??? We can't get too caught up with throwing it out wide coz we will get exploited by other teams, but a little more expansivity won't do us any harm.
