i wish they would just build the whole bloody thing non of this phase crap , if this is the 1st phase it looks a joke one big stand an 3 little ones , other clubs will just think oh you got half a stadium couldn't afford to build the other!

There are other clubs out there who's futures are in the balance because they don't have the prospect of a big stand and 3 little ones.

Who cares what other clubs or other fans think ? This will be the same brigade who think it really matters how many fans people take to away matches.

, Only problem you might have is lack of atmosphere , if the bulk of you go in the standing area it could end up a bit ' flat '

We have a great stand at The Willows... The Shed... and we can't seem to create an atmosphere in there these days... so what would it matter ? It doesn't matter what the ground looks like... you create your own atmosphere... something we aren't very good at these days if the truth be known.

I am and as are many of us as you well know mate, it requires buy-in from the other Shed dwellers. Many are willing but the k.nobs have tried their best to ruin it, but the main issue is, there's nothing to get excited about on the park, it's give and take, some days you get the feeling the players can't be bothered as soon as they enter the field and that’s when fans switch off.

Im with LF and KOTS on this one, to get it going you have to buy into it and possibly look like a bit of a tool at times if you float a song and it crashes n burns, stand there look "too cool for school" and you then cant moan about how rubbish the atmosphere.

The Shed the spiritual home of salfords red army it aways will be, but there is bit of "red army" in all of us, to be honest some of the best atmospheres created by us the fans have been on our travels,there has been some belters at home so for me the venue is irrelevant in many ways.

In the new stadium we'll be making new memories both on and off the field so that should rev us all up to get it going again

With the club not owning the new ground would we stand to make anything from the advertising hoardings or even more appropriately the naming rights to the stadium itself?

Seems to me if not that we could stand to lose a constant revenue stream, doubt it's a great deal but in RL every little helps.

Will the Traff still continue to be our main shirt sponsors when we are in effect in a ground they co own anyway? seems to me to be a little pointless them using the shirts to sponsor a location you'll be able to see from the ground.

How about the money that is being spent on the feckless idiots who now can't afford their mortgages because they lied about their income and are now stuck because their lied income has ground to a halt?

There are lots of people in their 20s who are having to pay taxes to prop up the maniacal housing ponzi in the UK.

Those taxes are going to people in their 30s who lied about their income to get a house they couldn't afford, houses which are now being kept from the market because of daft interventionist goverment policies which ought to be withdrawn.

The responsible few bought unemployment insurance to protect themselves in the event of the worst happening, but with Labour they stumped up cash to anyone and everyone, blowing the housing ponzi bubble for all it was worth. Debt only takes you so far, and scrounging off the wealth-creators only gets you so far.

Eventually you have to start creating real things of value, such as our new stadium, rather than expecting the government to do everything for you and palming you cash.

Sorry, but I thought this thread was about the new stadium - if you want to argue over housing policy then please do it elsewhere!!
