My understanding of the actual reported facts on Rangi Chase.
21st February - Castleford reject an initial offer for Castleford's contracted player- Rangi Chase
[urlhttp://www.loverugbyleague.com/news_11074-castleford-reject-salford-bid-for-rangi-chase.html[/url
18th April - Castleford chief executive Steve Gill has revealed stand-off Rangi Chase is free to leave the club if he wants to.
[urlhttp://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-league/22200538[/url
7th May - Press speculation of a to old club Sydney St George , failed to materialise
[urlhttp://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/castleford-boss-tells-rangi-chase-1874185[/url
8th July - Castleford Tigers Officially reject - a second offer to buy Chase ' outright - following talks ' as he is an integral part of their future plans...
[urlhttp://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/castleford-tigers/castleford-tigers-turn-down-offer-for-rangi-chase-1-5835241[/url
21st Aug - Castleford Tigers confirm that Rangi Chase has submitted a transfer request
www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/s ... -1-5972632
Feb - He's not going to Barton
April - He's free to leave - to the NRL
May - He's can't go -- to St George
July - He's not going -- To Barton - he's part of their future plans
Aug - He wants to leave.
so that clears everything up then
the longer this has gone on , the more I'm convinced the last place he'll end up is in a Salford Jersey.
Cas will flog him to any NRL side that can free up some cap , and could bear to see him leave to a SL side ( like Saints , Catalans, ) but no way to a club they feel would be fighting them next season for a relegation spot . IMO

Any chance you could let us know what relevance Dale Cregan's killings in Hattersley have with the City of Salford? Just so you know, Hattersley is 30 minutes drive from Salford.
You and your fellow Cas fans really aren't doing much for the thick stereo typical perception of people from Castleford are you.

| These kind of postings will, imo, start to become more common on here as we transition into next season. They start with 'Who do Salford think they are?' then progress to 'any excuse you can think of why a player wants to stay where he is.' They then turn to 'Technicalities' then finally end up at 'Cheating/Salary Cap accusations.'
We should expect to see more tripe like this appearing soon.
Some Cas fans should be ashamed of comments made on here recently and they do their Club no favours.

That's not really comparable though. Making light of something where people were murdered, which affected local communities really is not the same. Banter is fine as long as it stays tongue in cheek. Giving a low-blow like you have done should embarrass you. If it doesn't then you're simply not man enough to accept you were wrong.

Taken from Wiki'.
"Cregan was born at Tameside General Hospital in Greater Manchester and grew up in a two-up two-down terraced house in Droylsden.[1 He has an older brother, a younger sister and a son.[1 Cregan attended Littlemoss High School in Droylsden[1"
"Droylsden is a town within the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside, in Greater Manchester, England. It is 4.1 miles (6.6 km) to the east of Manchester city centre, and 2.2 miles (3.5 km) west-southwest of Ashton-under-Lyne, it has a population of 23,172"
A map of Greater Manchester:
www.manchester2002-uk.com/maps/p ... s-map.html
Now, go figure the "truth" part of your claim.
As for the sexual practices of Castlefordians, I have no idea as I have no evidence to counter or confirm the abovementioned claim. It might be correct... Mightn't it?

We could always open a debate on the positive aspects of these two, fine northern settlements. I'm sure Cas' has lots of interesting features that add to the nations cultural capital.
This is of course a rhetorical question, for I simply don't have the time for puerility let alone the inclination. Rather, I'm off to see the delights of Brisbane, which much like Salford is a fine city, rich in culture and a pleasure to be.

| I don't retract that tweet. Whether it goes down as bitter or not.
We lost our place in Super League, Due to Wigan cheating the Salary Cap to stay up. And Marwan has already shown a disrespect for the operational rules by saying he will break the Salary Cap, Offering our star player silly money is a part of this
(It's rumored the Cas board authorized an increased offer of 250k a year to try and get Rangi to stay, From his 180k deal. And this was rejected)
As I say. Bitter or whatever, I'm not a fan of Koukash (I wasn't before he came to RL) and I think it's poor form deliberately cheating the cap. But that's just my opinion.

| Well cas till I die as someone who lives in Hyde and lived in Hattersley I can honestly say that is the
most disgusting comment I've ever heard
You really should be ashamed of yourself but I hope you are a child and one day you will mature enough to accept that you have made yourself look stupid.
But if you are an adult then my only hope is you are so immature that admitting you are wrong is some kind of adult inadequacy.

We haven't 'cheated'/aren't 'cheating' the cap.

| Just a thought, and it is only a thought before people jump down my throat. Say Salford do decide to deliberately break the cap, I fail to see how this will help them. As the cap is a rule agreed to by the 14 super league members, if one team does it, surely they will all just do it. It would essentially mean that the clubs with the largest benefactors would spend the most getting the best players. It would come down to wealth. How wealthy is the good doctor? is he as wealthy as say, Simon Moran at wolves or Caddick at Leeds?
My point is, that if the cap is broken and it descends into a free for all, would Salford (and other clubs too) find themselves in a position whereby the value of the players has increased considerably because they can charge more for their services, whilst still being well down the pecking order in the super league heirachy?

As far as I'm aware, he's never said he intended to break the salary cap. That's just fans of other clubs getting mard heads on about him. He said he thought the cap should be raised (quite rightly: as things are, the cap is falling in real terms every year, which is perhaps why we're losing so many players to Australia), but, since the SL decided not to, he said he will use the same little ruses that other clubs use to stretch the cap a bit.

I have come across him a few times in the owners bars, One notable time at Epsom where he walked in like he was better than everyone else. I don't like his attitude, And this stretches to his disregard for the rules in RL.
(I did however watch an Attheraces feature on him on how his family lost all and he built himself up into a world class surgeon, And have to respect him for that)
