Apologies, I was away three weeks ago so obviously missed that. Answers why it had gone quiet about him recently though.

I'll be amazed if it is Harrison Hansen. It was no secret we were talking to him at the end of the season, but it seemed he was adament to see 2014 out with Wigan because it was his testomonial season. Something must have radically changed between then and now if that is the case.

Koukash mentioned he was still keen on aquiring Hansen at Walkden last week , especially with his Folly Lane links . I'd presumed it was for a 2015 deal , as Wigan had taken up his final year option and he was eligble

Wouldn't be surprised if the Doc didn't offer a cash insentive if HH and Wigan were willing to let him go.

It was Crowe who approached Dr Koukash.( An image from possibly a newspaper or rugby league publication which I cannot be bothered to find,was put online a few days ago)
It was Russell Crowe who organized the games in the USA some years ago with Salford appearing in the second;not without controversy as it turned out.

I haven't overlooked anything at all. If you have read my original post I clearly mentioned another club owner contacting a lot of other clubs in an attempt to expand the game , as you say - 'Long before Koukash' but you seem oblivious to that sentence so thanks I haven't overlooked the fact at all.

And the game has been trying to expand long before Russell Crowe got involved as well .....

Maybe I'm all a bit sceptical of media hungry Millionaire club owner and a Hollywood actor wanting a game in Dubai......how did the United Arab Emirates national team get on in this world cup......? Why not America or Canada there is nothing in Dubai for Rugby League......except for a very wealthy Airline that sponsor us, but that aside...??

I'm all for Expanding the world club challenge but the fact that Koukash said we should hold a "mini pre season tournament" got my back up more than anything. Call it what it is, what Hetherington and Moran have been trying to grow "the world Club Challenge"... He just seemed more interested in the publicity and "Dubai" than the concept.

Embarrassingly for you, that's exactly what it sounds like. You may not know but Marwan Koukash was recently in Australia for the Melbourne Cup (the pinnacle of flat horse racing - which is a world wide) the Aussie media absolutely loved what Koukash had to say not only about Salford but rugby league as a whole. He received a hell of a lot of coverage. Russell Crowe no doubt seen and heard what he has to say and with his links in Dubai wants to work with him.

I'm wondering if now England are out of the WC there might be announcements on the last few peices of the puzzle for next year.

One player who I see has signed for North Wales is Mark Offerdahl from the USA squad, every game I watched them play Noble when commentating was very profuse in his praise so I wonder if he'll keep an eye on him or maybe even had a hand in him going there in the first place.
