Following an enforced two week break and weather permitting, Salford City have a home game due tomorrow at 3:00pm, Saturday 27th November, against Mossley in the League. Couldn't be doing with another blank weekend!

There's a pitch inspection at 10:00 am tomorrow morning and the signs look promising at the moment for Salford City as they hope to play their first league game in four weeks against Woodley Sports at Moor Lane.

A 77th minute equaliser by Adam Morning gave Salford City a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw against Woodley Sports at Moor Lane this afternoon. With six first team players unavailable either through suspension or injury the Ammies were made to work hard all afternoon after a four week enforced break although a superb save in added time denied them a winner that would have been a little hard on the visitors. Weather permitting the Ammies make the short journey to Trafford FC next Saturday for a much anticipated local derby league fixture.

FC Utd lost 1-0 at home to top of the table Halifax. Was surprising that there wasn't more goals as it was quite a open game. FC will be hoping for revenge on New Years Day (if it's on).

Kendal away 27th December.

Bit late, and a moot point now, but I only know of a handful of people who would've gone in. 99% would've stayed away not just because of the boycott but also not wanting to support any team against United. I reckon the board would've called for a total boycott anyway.

It would have been very interesting to see Mr Walsh turning down his share of the money if they had drawn Utd, plus the TV money because it would be a dead cert for that.
Get over the Glazers, I hate them but your protest the farcical green and gold protest and everything else thrown at them does not concern them.
United are their cash cow and they will not let go.
Maybe our Arab friends and a 2 Billion Offer might tempt them but I am not holding my breath.

Naah. I'll stick to what I'm doing, thanks. The way United and, indeed, modern football is run is disgusting. And any Arabs coming in with their billions wouldn't make any difference to that. The league won by throwing money at mercenaries? No thanks. Remember when Abramovich got hold of Chelsea? "You're not Chelsea anymore", "you sold your to a Russian" etc. We all seemed quite proud that United were generating money and winning trophies because of history, tradition and support, not just because we had rich owners. Modern football and the chase to win trophies at all cost seems to have changed that. Sad.

Salford City play only their second league game in seven weeks when they travel to Clitheroe on New Years Day for a 3:00 pm kick off. It's back home at Moor Lane on Monday 3rd January, kick off 3:00 pm, with the visit of Garforth Town.

Quite a few going to Siddal Cricket Club for a drink. Couple of miles from the ground, though, so it's a bit of a trek from the station if you arrive on your own. Three Pigeons it is, then!

Salford City were made to fight right up to the end of the game by 10 man Clitheroe as they ran out as 5-4 winners after having been 5-2 ahead at the break. Steve Foster (3), Matty Cross & Adam Morning were on target for the Ammies who really should have put the game well out of sight with a host of clear scoring chances early in the second half before the home side made it squeaky bum time for the travelling Salford supporters.
