This season is already a failure, I think that's pretty obvious.

If Gentle is the right man then I'm happy for us to wait until the end of the season. Talk on Twitter this morning of a 3y deal. Would have preferred 2y with a 1y option but we don't know how that conversation might have gone.

I think the fact that the new coach is unlikely to arrive until next season is a disaster and typical Salford.We need this guy here now-why?Well he needs some experience of the League to make the best of next season-he's going to have lost some of his best players eg.Ratchford because he will see no reason/proof for him to be optimistic and frankly we need to start sorting out this shambles.You can't expect next season to go well when if we pursue the current theory you will have a lot of beaten demoralised players.Plus he needs to weigh up what new players we eed.Can't imagine any top team accepting the status quo.

So the big question is write off this season get gentle next season or millward this season and go for it short term or long game hmm interesting...

I would put 'John from Salford' in charge for the remainder of the season, with him being Gentle's no 2 next season.

We'd have to find another coach for the away games. And for the home ones he 'can't get to'.

Michael MacGuire at Wigan did not come over mid-season.

No Mcguire didn't but then Wigan were'nt in crisis and in danger of losing their most talented player.I didn't mean settle for 2nd best either I mean but Gentle out of his contract we're sinkling fast

If we have to wait for Mr Gentle,that's what we do,we can send him video's of the matches we have left.We also ask
him to scourer Australia for reinforcements,we then try to finish as high as we can.

Surely the fact he wants to honour his contract means he is a man of integrity.
