Conditions were bad for both teams, felt that Leeds used them better. Leeds rotated their squad over Easter and looked fresher for it.
We seemed to lose energy in the second half.
Don't know if ref had refereed any games over Easter, looked like he had, as he lacked energy to be with up play, therefore missing quite a lot and doing a bit of guessing

We have won 9 out of 10 matches so far this season, we are doing just fine. I think there is only one clown here.

Ifs and buts... I would suggest that if Leeds had Briscoe, Hall and Watkins playing (3 England first teamers) then it may have been very one sided. But who knows?

I'm flattered that you're the only Rhino fan I've seen so far call it 'An impressive win'. According to your resident top bell-end we were lucky that it wasn't a cricket score. Although, that probably says a lot about him rather than anything else. It shows, at least in one opposition fans eyes, how far we have come as a team, because I still think we have a long way to go yet.

As for moaning fans at refs. Well, that comes with the territory for RL fans who are frankly obsessed by them rather than seeing the failings of their own sides performance in key areas. You can hardly have a go at Salford fans for uniquely targeting refs as a form of excuse seeing as it's something that is written about on these RLFans forums almost as much as attendance obsession.

Even with those 3 back I still think we would have won with a full side.

Full credit too Leeds though they thoroughly deserved the win.

Shame the game clashed with the derby overwise I think it would have a much better attendance.

Salford Directors and Marwan need to speak to the RFL and make sure in the future that whenever the derby in on we play away in Super League that weekend. Couldn't be that difficult to arrange surely.

Yes we are a working progress but we should definitely be up there come the end of the season.

The fixtures are not random, all clubs make requests not to be playing on certain days or weekends, usually ground availability but often for other practical local reasons. Salford should have requested this when the fixtures were being drafted.

What I will say is that I thought Leeds had better options than the lad who started at fullback, he looked like a rabbit in the headlights and it was telling that when it became apparent we might actually give you a game Herbert Hardaker couldn't get him swapped too the wing quick enough. We have someone called Kevin Locke you can borrow if you need, we have Super Evalds

yeah agree with golding. the leeds board are keen on him having watched him at 19s, but ive only seen him against SL opposition and hes rubbish. if you dont mind you can keep locke and we will borrow BJB back.... =)

We had much more important players missing in our team than you did. Surely you can't disagree with that?

If the ref didn't give you that dodgy scrum before half time which resulted in a Rhinos try off the following set and we would have gone into the 2nd half drawing it would have been a much different outcome.

There's little point in blaming refs.

Even if everyone agreed he gave us nothing, the team still needs to stop missing one-on-one tackles, kick well, and give fewer reasons for the ref to give penalties.

Three things we didn't do. You give teams like Leeds even more advantage and they will punish you, even with players out. I agree that we had key players missing that could easily have sorted those three problem areas out, but Leeds had decent players out too. The difference being that they took their opportunities, rode their luck, and punished us for stupid errors. We conceded at least two soft tries of our own making rather than Leeds playing champagne RL.

There wasn't a great deal between the sides on the day, and with a little more composure we would have probably won. I take that as a positive as we are a team with little experience and it bodes well for the future.

Slightly delusional I feel. Leeds have lost one game all season so your home record is utterly irrelevant. And I am sorry, but JJB, Hall, Watkins, Briscoe are all top players and if you honestly think that the players you were missing were of the same quality, then there is no talking to you. And as for the last statement, putting FACT at the end of it doesn't make it fact. Maybe if you had put OPINION, then you wouldn't have looked so silly.

No he didn't. Look at the decision that went our way when the ref said our player hadn't played at the ball... When the one not long before down the other end, where a Leeds player had kicked it point blank against one of ours, was given the other way. He didn't give Leeds everything, he wasn't biased, he was just utterly sh*t.

Salford fans need to let go of this "the refs and the RFL are all against us" mentality.

I think RL fans in general need to do this.
