I notice that on the plan there is a ticket office at each end as well as the main stand , that is a good idea, any chance somebody could find out if they wil be in operation for the Leigh game?

I went to the stadium yesterday & was reasonably impressed, like everyone else it had it's teething problems like no bar, long queues for food etc, seats not numbered & having to turn left towards Irlam leaving the ground but hopefully these will be resolved in time for the new season.
I called in the reception to pick up my ticket for the Leigh game on the way out & picked up a leaflet which gave details of the buses running to & fro from the the Trafford Centre & the Willows which is excellent news for me although if you do not have access to the internet or managed to get one of the leaflets I just wondered how people would get to know.
I hope that it will be advertised somewhere else.

Have they got card facilities at the new ground yet? going to pop down tomorrow as I've got a load of tickets to buy for the Leyth game. Tried to call but all they have is a bloody 0844 number and until I get back in work in the New Year I'm not paying extra to call them and ask.

Is the ground actually finished. It looked as if there is still cladding to be erected at the back of the stands advertising to be errected all round the ground.

The seats were comfortable, the view was good. Leigh will offer a better indication of the atmosphere.

The scoreboard was small though.

Said the other day that there appears to be a big area on the front of the building boarded over for some reason and you'd think that the advertising hoardings not being in yet might have something to do with the new deal the RFL have just singed up to with an electronic advertising providor.

Well after watching 14 games i would need a few drinks and plenty of food to keep me awake,and theres me thinking we are playing friday nights,or are the other 26 teams playing thursdays.

OH,and there was silly me thinking there was only 7 games a week, played on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays.Mind you though we will make a fortune keeping corporate people there for 3 days.

North stand,i think,nobody is 100% sure yet Wellsy,you will be most welcome where ever you stand anyway.

I understand that it will be the South Stand to the right of the West Stand, all standing section.

Generally positive first impressions, despite the new stadium looking a bit like it's been based on a Lego model. It's quite different from any other similar sized new-build soccer or RL ground that I've ever been to, and the views from the main stand are pretty good, even at the back. And even if the rugby on the playing field proves not to be up to scratch, you can always watch the traffic thundering by (or crawling by, as the case may be) on the high level bridge.

Not sure that the car parks at the stadium are big enough at present though (there's still quite a lot of undeveloped scrub-land around the stadium that could potentially be used), or where folk refused entry because they haven't booked in advance will end up. (Overspill at Barton Airport perhaps?)

Nope your wrong, the away section is now the north stand closest to the motorway. The south stand is the home section.
