Now I'm only going off the highlights online, but our young forwards finally seem to be making a difference. The run from Jewitt against Cas was the sort of play we signed Feka for!!! Also, there's plenty of footage of Sidlow showing good footwork and some of Boyle making some good hard yards. Next season they night start peforming more consistently.

As above, our youngsters are really working hard, if the game Friday had been at home, sure Lee Jewitt would have got MOM he was immense again, in one set of play in defence he made every tackle in the set really upped his play over the last 5 games giving us what we all knew Lee was capable of.

Just credit where its due some of his play in the Wire, Cas & Cru's games has been outstanding, thought he had reached his level earlier season but he has cracked on & really upped the anti & just want to compliment him on it.

I thought the performance against Hull KR when we had so many of the young forwards playing was the most encouraging part of the season for. Given the right oppertunities to ease then in I think the future looks bright in the pack. Still think though if Ray goes we need another work horse prop for the kids to look up to and learn from.

Cashmere will be 32 next January and despite him giving his all I can understand the club looking for a younger, cheaper replacement if Ray is now looking for a bigger contract.

Personally I can't see how Cashmere at 32 can be worth more than he was 3 years ago. (At the peak of his career and playing at a much higher level in the NRL) It seems to me that's he's only prepared to stay if there is more money in it and I question if that's the right motive. I just hope we can find a decent replacement if he does leave. Cashmere does give our pack some size presence and offloading ability and I hope he will be replaced with someone of similar stature. Perhaps Matt Parish will know of a suitable replacement?
