I don't think saints will be in the market for ratchford, not because he wouldnt be a good signing, but because we have a shed load of (injured) half backs and have just signed hohaia.

In terms of losing players, yes its disappointing as we are finding this year with eastmond graham and very likely puletua, but the clubs will still be here next year, and so will we as real supporters. Saints and salford will be better clubs with new grounds and facilities, and players will come and go. I think the future is bright for both our clubs.

See my heart felt plea has the desired effect as far as getting rid of part of the problem at a coaching level.

So if your reading this Mr Gates, Sheik Bin Bag or some random Chinese/Indian billionaire another solution to some of Salfords ills is endless potts of cash being lobbed our way with the desire for nothing but our heart felt thanks as a rewards.

He's a very good player but I think that some of the comparisons are OTT.
If he goes to his home town club,or somewhere that doubles his pay,then that doesn't show a lack of ambition on Salfords part,just the reality of the situation.b

[iAt the end of the day it's all down to Ratchford to decide what's best for him.

The club have offered him a decent contract I believe, but sometimes it's not just down to money as we all know from the past.

I hope he stays on board with the Reds but if he leaves then so be it we just move on just like we did when Myler, Coley, Robinson took there leave.

From what I've seen of him the lad has an astute kicking and passing game. Has good feet and is quite quick too. He's a very versatile player with the ability to play numerous different positions in the backline very effectively making him an excellent asset to any side. And at 22 he still has plenty of room for improvement - hence why I rate him.

Let's be realistic if the lads got real ambition he will move on to Wigan or Warrington or saints. Just look at what our club has tossed up so far this year, a coach on the sick his assistant taking the club to court and having over 100 points on us in last 2 games?

Funny how 'Ste Nash' has gone very quiet again after attempting to stir things up?!

Maybe they should call it 'work' and actually do some.

Maybe they should call it a day if that's the attitude instead of stealing money?, can honestly say that only big Ray has shown his class this season of the overseas players. I think Patten will come more and more to the fore with a solid defensive effort in front of him and go on to become a signing we all look back on with fond memories.

Ben Barba yes he's having a cracking season for the Dogs since they moved him from half back to full back, I'd go as far as saying I'd guess he was even the clubs top scorer. That said I watched LP over the years and I for one am delighted the general came to Salford make no mistake he is/was one of the NRL's best fullbacks !

I don't see many better at Fullbacks in SL than Patten. Although, if he has one downside, he seems little weak for the last line of defence. Definitely no Kris Radlinski, but he makes up for it with his attacking class.

Ben Barba is quality, also, and tipped to be Slater's replacement in the Queensland team.
