The club have a responsibility to it's staff and are trying to attract new support and sponsors. What possible upside could come from telling you they're on their ar$e?
Oh, and 'fan-power'? At Salford?
Seriously - why do so many on these pages think their season ticket entitles them to a seat in the board room?
And can anyone tell me the last time the club attempted to create a buzz with a launch/signing that wasn't met with fervent objection on here? Does the Turkey MB have a positivity filter?

| The post saying your ground internally is not that bad infact quite good is totally deluded. Its not just the surrounding areas its the whole thing and you should be very worried that this stadium red herring is still continuing. Since the funding was not granted for the major part of the plan salford and Peel have left you all with a smoke screen of delays to bide time. The next franchise you should be worried, your ground is disgraceful, your crowds are amongst the bottom end, the expansion card is working and the only shining light is your youth players beginning to shine. Salford have always been a yo yo club and probably always will be and only this franchise debarcle has saved your bacon. Look how Cas and Hull KR have kicked on, they are light years ahead of Salford in nearly every area(albeit two crap grounds also), take off the rose tinted glasses.

Just how greatly different are we in our 1st season after promotion, to HKR and Cas in theirs?

Hull KR were vastly ahead of us in terms of number of imports in the team.

Another newbie pontificating on something he knows nowt about.
#1 - The playing surface at The Willows is THE best in Rugby League. Just take a straw poll of players at other clubs to confirm.
#2 Hull KR ? Dont make me laugh. Find a Yorkshireman in the team and you will have found gold dust. A joke of a club and BUST - yes another one - nobbut 10 years ago.
#3 Enlighten me as to your view that funding isnt available. Contrary to what I believe.
#4 Salford is in a strategic area - Manchester Connorbation - whereas 2 clubs in Hull plus Cas & Wakey on each others doorsteps is a recipe for disaster. Its HKR & Cas/Wakey who should be worried.

They have more Yorkshiremen in their first-team squad than we have Salfordians so we can't cast that one at them in all fairness.
Fox - York, Welham - Hull, Cooke - Hull, Wheeldon - Hull, Murrell - Leeds, Walker - Leeds, Netherton - Hull, Cockayne - Pontefract, Mills - Wakefield, I'Anson - Hull

| Everybody has to realise, getting a construction project off the ground is such a drawn out process, that it is borderline farcical.
So many obstacles and pitfalls can present themselves along the way, never mind unforeseen issues, ie; archaeological finds.
Salford are fortunate they have a strong fund partner in Peel and a well connected and respected Chairman.

I think this quote was mis-understood... I meant for the club to urge fans to get behind the stadium and show themselves to be 100% behind it. Ask the fans to push publicly show how much they want it... and not half a dozen... all of us.

Hull KR have just posted their accounts showing that they are far and away more overdrawn then us £3m in the red, so much for the salary cap working by stopping clubs spending more than they have got coming in.

| can u image if we let ourselves go 3M in the red?, there would be a uproar in superleague, over spent 3m but still not considered one of the top teams, probably top of the middle like warrington, superleague will bail hull kr out as they need the humberside derby to market the sport.
They need to pay back 2.2m this year according to the bbc, how are they gonna pull that out of the fire when they have lost 450k so far this year.
cas and wakefield should be worried more than hull kr

| Does the Hull situation not constitute them breaking the salary cap rules?. Are clubs not only entitled to spend an amount relative to what they generate?, now if Hull are £3,000,000 in the red they surely must be recruiting and paying players with money they have not got and there fore breaching the salary cap.

They probably simply consider the money that the board pump in (technically as loans) as part of the income. In their defence, they are one of the few clubs that has actually spend their own money on improving the ground.

Yes it is , and with no 50 % rule on the Salary Cap anymore you could in theory run a SL club on Sky money only as it would appear the Crusaders have/will do
