3-3 draw for FC away at Lancaster in the FA Trophy. We were 2-0, then 3-1 up. Fell asleep and gave away two sloppy goals. Replay at Gigg Lane on Wednesday night.

Irlam progressed into the third round of the NWCFL Challenge Cup with a 4-3 win over Premier League Padiham FC. An equaliser with ten minutes to play and a winner in the last five minutes sealed the win. Irlam will play Bootle at home in the third round.

Salford City FC have been drawn away at King's Lynn in the 3rd Qualifying Round Draw of the FA Trophy.

Winners of the FC United v Lancaster City replay at home to Harrogate Town.

Salford City and Clitheroe shared the points at Moor Lane in a 1-1 draw with Neil Chappell's 57th minute equaliser cancelling out the visitors opener just five minutes earlier. Next game is another league fixture at Wakefield tomorrow night. Just hope there's not a repeat of last seasons

FC won the Trophy replay 1-0 after extra time on Wednesday against Lancaster, but lost at home in the league to Buxton yesterday.

Glamour tie for Kettering Town against us (Leeds) at home in round two of the FA cup. Certainty to be on ITV.

Just back from Wakefield and delighted with the 1-0 victory courtesy of a Neil Chappell strike on the half hour mark. Had to withstand a lot of second half pressure but we've now moved up to 19th place out of 22. I'm starting to get vertigo!

Salford away at Woodley today. Dragging my Aussie mate down for his first taste of non-league Football which should be an eye-opener for him!!! Woodley have just signed some lad on loan from Macc which will no doubt result in him bangng a hat-trick in against us this afternoon

Neil Chappells first half equalising goal, his fifth since his debut four games ago, gave Salford City a share of the points in a 1-1 draw at Woodley Sports. It's just one defeat from their last 11 games in all competitions for the Ammies who remain in 19th position in the league - one place above today's opponents. Fair result overall but I'm glad that we don't have to play on that plastic subbuteo pitch every week.!

Not the greatest of games and thought Woodley definitely edged it but they wasted some good chances.

I've been to Woodley twice; once it snowed, and the other was real brass monkey's stuff. 4-0 win at Prescot for Leigh yesterday, making it a 10-0 win on aggregate

Irlam FC took on Wigan Robin Park FC at the Robin Park Arena yesterday. Wigan took the league after just 16 seconds and then added a second before the 2 minute mark. Irlam then dominated the game for the 70 scoring two goals in the processs. Once the equaliser went in we took our foot of the pedal and let them get back into the game. They scored the winner with five minutes left to play. A great game to watch, shame about the result.

FC won 3-2 at Hucknall. 3-0 up but they fought back to 3-2 and also missed a pen.

Salford City crashed out of the Unibond President's Cup tonight as AFC Fylde left Moor Lane with a comfortable 5-1 victory. The Ammies finished up with nine men on the pitch due to injuries having already used all their substitutes. Not too bothered about this cup exit but statistically it spoils our record off just one defeat in our previous eleven outings prior to tonights game.

Salford appeared to be 'thinking about Saturday' tonight imo. Not a bad game though.

Just back from Kings Lynn and gutted but immensely proud of the team
performance with a solitary goal just five minutes from time seperating the two sides. Once again Salford bellied their lowly league status against a team one league higher who had scored 23 goals in their three previous home league fixtures. The Ammies spurned three golden second-half scoring opportunites which they were ultimately left to rue.

Irlam FC took on AFC Liverpool at Valarie Park on Saturday. Irlam dominated the first 30 minutes but only had one goal to show for it. Liverpool took control in the 2nd half but good defence and MOM display from Irlam keeper kept Liverpool out. Irlam scored a second on the counter but Liverpool pulled one back 1 minute later to set up a nervous last 20 minutes. Irlam held on though and took the three points. There was a bit of banter with the AFC Liverpool crowd, who were quite vocal but very small in number due to "big" Liverpool playing.

Salford City play at the same ground this Saturday against Prescot Cables and the pitch is an absolute state.

Irlam's next game is away to Norton United in the 2nd round of the Division 1 Trophy.

FC lost 3-2 at home to Harrogate in the FA trophy on Saturday.
