Now it's not so raw and am sober, still gutted at the golden chance missed but need to look at the positives. Evalds, class. The guy is just awesome and well done Harris on sticking with him (although I also think Locke should have been in the squad, hindsight is a wonderful thing). We kept going dispite everything going against us. Another great turnout. Great set up at Leigh, had a good day other than the result. We're still 4th in the league. Onwards and upwards!

Losing 2 players was the big deciding factor today, when you then have someone Morleys age in the 17 it would be nearly impossible too cope.

Leigh deserved the win, some brilliant rugby.

Haven't you got a young player in the 19s who could play hooker, really poor decision to play Godwin in such a big game when he hasn't played for about 9 months, he looked really off the pace and out of his depth. One of the reasons it went wrong IMO.

Fwiw the last time Salford dominated Wakefield was when Karl Harrison was coach.

Chunkyhugo is a Leeds fan judging by his avatar. Most Salford fans, myself included have congratulated Leigh on other posts, so don't judge us by his standards. Leigh were magnificent, and the ground is a credit to you. Can't wait to see you in SuperLeague.

Perhaps 'dominated' was the wrong word to use, however we have had 10 or 12 point leads towards the end of the games that I mentioned yet never really managed to kill the games off, eventually winning them all by one score.

Yesterday was there to be won with 20 minutes to go and a 6 point lead however again we weren't smart enough to finish the game off and this time it cost us the result.

Leigh played some risky stuff which on this occasion paid off for them. BJB threw one stupid pass which resulted in 6 points just as the forwards were getting on top.

Injuries can't be helped but the discipline needs sorting out. Had Chase and Hauraki been on the pitch we probably could have coped with losing Dobson and Sa'u. I can understand Harris having four forwards on the bench with Godwin not having played for nine months, Unfortunately, it was two backs that got injured. No complaints about the result from me. Thems the breaks.

Thought it was very sporting of Rowley to only use 3 of our bench while you had lost 2 to injury

I know what you mean. I would say that when we have the momentum in games we dont then kill teams off. Is that down to our tactics being too conservative or something else?

I agree however if you go into the last 5 minutes with a 12 point lead you shouldn't be hanging on at the end. I hate the term 'game management' yet it is an area of our game that we need to improve. We currently specialise in kicks out on the full, passes/tackled into touch and interceptions, most of which seem to occur when we are in front.
