Who are the Hyde sponsors?

We've got our own debt to worry about, never mind anyone elses!

Mate, the point I was making is that Hyde shouldn't be losing to a lower league team. Nothing more, nothing less. We'd all be disappointed on here if we lost to a team like Gateshead.





My focus was on Hyde rather than Salford City. I'm disappointed the Tigers lost because they needed the money. An FA Cup run could have saved the club. I was simply making the point that Hyde should not have lost to a team from as low down in the leagues as Salford. I am very disappointed with Hyde rather than bitter towards Salford City.


Fair play to Salford, they won. If I had watched the game (I used to always make it up for the FA Cup games involving Hyde) maybe I would have been gracious but as I didn't I am limited in what I can say in favour of Salford City.

I agree with you on FCUM definitely and possibly Stalybridge but whats wrong with Droylsden ?
The crap they had last year plus the money troubles they have had in past years means they are due a break, great to see them top of the league.
I used to go to the Butchers as some of my mates lived in Droylsden and we used to go plus to away games,so I still look out for their results.
As for Hyde..
United play there so what has happened to the money they get from that.

The reserves play at Altrincham again now. Also, United never gave them any money for it, Hyde just kept gate receipts and food sales. With most people who watch them being members/ST holders anyway, there's not much to be made from it.

Two reasons: Hitsory between the Tigers and the Bloods; and the convenience of the fire at the Butchers Arms.



My dad lives in Droylsden and my step-brother used to a ball boy there and I used to play the occasional game there when I was younger. However, I still despise the club. And while I remember....Jody Banim is a fat Jan Molby.

I am sure they need teh money. However, I have a soft spot for Hyde, always have, so I would rather they have the additional money, rather than another club. Hyde need it more urgently.

It's a fair point but TBF a few Hyde supporters would go to the games (and thus pay an admission fee) and they would get a decent crowd if City or United played each other or if they played any other decent teams. The social club would also do a good bit of business during reserve games. You're right, it wasn't a great deal of money but neither was it buttons to a club like Hyde. It also helps to give the club exposure.

The FA Cup when United and the other big boys get in there is ruined now.
The Semi's at Wembley, United putting out a reserve team last year,the excitment and true FA Cup is now in the early rounds.

You've got to be kidding me? One of the best sets of fans in non-league. Drank well in to the night with them on the last day of the season when we got relegated from the Conference North a couple of years ago - Blyth fans serenaded the Leigh fans (who were in the midst of a relegation conga) with "We'll Meet Again". In fact, weirdly, one of the best days of my football supporting life!

Replay in the North East next Tuesday. Apparently Blyth brought around 100 fans down with them which isn't bad on a Tuesday night travelling over 150 miles!

I personally find them to be particularly unfriendly. Spitting at opposition players, throwing stuff on the pitch, chants about Harold Shipman and threatening people, more specifically a female friend of mine, while she was quietly queueing up to buy a cup of coffee at half-time. Lovely bunch.

Thought Salford were the much better team last night,just lacked the cutting edge upfront,added to the fact that their goalie made two great saves.
I hope Salford do it next week, but I sadly think last night was their big chance.

Never been there but it's a trek and a half and trains don't seem to be an option. Will the club put on an 8 seater for the traveling support?
