Used to like my trips to the Willows. TBH I preferred my trips there last year to my two trips to Barton this year.

Believe me, me and Daz are normal compared to some of the not rights around Eccles. It’s a Horrible place, ¾ of the population either have a limp, are alcohol dependant, are just f**cked in the head or don't speak a word of the queens.

if we are lacking in money surely they should of done some sort of auction on like signs , seats, TURF!, etc maddness , horrible to see history destroyed and not given the chance to save anything, think you could just ask them could i have a seat they probs would give you one .

I haven't lived in Salford for 11 years now and don't get to go back as often as I would like so I would rather see these photos now than pass some empty plot or in-progress housing estate build the next time I am up there.

I've been down today the north stand is going. The photographer from the club was there not sure of his name but he has been involved for years. Such a sad feeling so many memory's at that place

Were they taking the roof off? I was told yesterday that the structure will be up for a couple more weeks while they strip the asbestos from the roof.

You would have thought that they would have stripped the Asbestos at the same time as they stripped it from the variety centre

The asbestos was/is in the Austin Trueman stand. I'm about to re-post the link as I've added more photos today. The guys in the blue protective suits are the asbestos team. The North Stand roof will come down in just over a week, hopefully I'll be able to post pictures of that coming down.

I've added 35 new photos to the album today so I'm re-posting the link. Work permitting, I'll be able to add more photos as the work continues. Sad to say that the final photo will be a flat space with a view from Willows Road to Edward Avenue.

They were taking the seats and back panels from the right hand side at about 3 yesterday so guessing the rest will be today

I have been looking all over for the housing prospectus was going to see if there was one available at the centre circle ( Investment opportunity) If there was I wonder if they can site the downstairs toilet there.!!

I had a mate who got one of the houses on Station Rd when they were first built, used to love going on the loo in there, always a pleasure and he had such good reading material.

It was a real rugby league stadium loved the place the stand behind the sticks was before its time and still put most to shame to this day
