That link tells me absolutely nothing Iain , we were told that the LSV would be a community stadium , it is providing you can afford to pay to use it , we all hoped that junior cup finals and the like would be staged there , but that only happens if you can afford to pay a couple of grand to pay the costs to open the thing , similarly with the entertainment facilities , they will be top dollar

Where do the forever reds have their meetings at the moment ? When you ask to have a meeting or event at Barton , you will have to pay the going rate , both for the venue and the food/ drinks

But surely the floodlights will be of the same standard wether it's 12,000 or 20,000 capacity ?

The City of Salford Community Stadium.

And starbug, I think there will still be the schools, colleges finals and varsity games still played at the stadium, so there will be community use.

I'd heard that name banded about, I was wondering if there was going to be some sort of naming rights given is all.

Will the toilets have seats or will they be the stainless steel variety ?

We are following the French approach to toileting.

I think we all expect the naming rights to be sold to the highest bidder.

The LSV is the only new stadium I can think of that hasn't sold it's name - any idea why that is??

Basically the recession , add that to being in a the second tier of a low profile sport , obviously the location of your new place will lend itself better to naming rights

Time for some more pictures , get that flying Barton bloke back in his glider , those little stands should be finished by now

Went over Barton today. Both stands behind the sticks are in full flow now. As Iain had mentioned to me at Hudds the terracing in place behind the sticks is roughly about 15 steps deep. The main stand looks HUGE! as you go over the bridge. However when you see the other stands next to it I don't think it will look as bad as some people think it will be.

What ever happens as Booby would say " HAPPY DAYS FELLA " I got a sense of excitement when I saw it. I can't wait to watch the lads run out onto the pitch there for our first game in the new stadium.

Anyone fancy going to visit the site office and nudging that webcam to the left a bit?

It's all fenced off but it is a fairly easy jib over the see through fence.

Drove over today too, I agree the main stand did look like it would dwarf the rest but now it's starting to look a lot more even. Is there just one terrace like at the Lobbydome?

That's brilliant, wish the Lobbydome was like that, be a much better atmosphere with the away fans. Really looking forward to going to a few Salford games next year. (it's me who's been to a few Salford v Wigan games in my Leyth top! You lot seem to welcome me with open arms, knowing i'm on your side!)
