The RFL don't seem to be able to see past their front door with the financial problems of a number of SL teams i hop you get everything sorted out as i for one would not like to see Salford or any other RL Team disappear. The RFL should give you the Sky money that they have withheld from us to you to get you up and running.

You've got it wrong. The money advanced was the remaining 2012 sky payments plus a small amount from 2013. Certainly not the 650k being held back next year or the 600k being held back the following year.

So lets get this straight, you are suggesting the RFL , Loaned you several hundred thousand pounds, bought the lease for you stadium, all to keep you playing through a season, then ' fine ' you?





They bailed you with next years money, you pay it back ( or dont recieve it ) over two years

They will also get the money back anyway via a subsidy on ground rent. A 100k cut price annual rent is double what Wakefield are paying. It facilities they are getting in return has the potential to double the income of ours! No way is that rent the market rate.

One thing for sure the RFL can't just stand buy and do nothing, the precedent has been set!

The RFL brought the lease to the ground in late 2011 early 2012 before the season started, the sky money advanced was for the 2012 season the same as all the other teams got. so we did not get anything more than any other team in SL

Keep dreaming starbug. RFL advanced us 2 or 3 months wages which were less than 200k each. Not 1.2millon your suggesting. The remaining 2012 sky monies pretty much covered amount they advanced us. This is a topic that's been clarified at out fans forums since the takeover and can't see RFL standing by and saying nothing if new owners aren't telling the truth on this.

Difference is your landlord has you over a barrel. There isn't another stadium you can go play at if you don't pay what they want, unless you go to oakwell or, gods forbid, go to cas. We can play at VP for same rent we pay at odsal. Market rate is set by the local market. What your having to pay is pretty irrelevant.

Yes you can , but you would lose several times more the rental amount in lost revenue , you have no more choice of where to play than wakey , but you are however getting a very good deal from the RFL

Simple fact is we don't know what the reasoning for withholding the sky monies is as RFL have never made any statement. But it isn't for monies advanced as the sums just don't add up. Remaining sky money due in 2012 was pretty much same as amount needed to cover the 2-3 wage bills that RFL advanced us money to cover during the administration. They certainly didn't advance us another 1.2million on top of that.

Don't shoot the messenger. I'm only repeating what we've been told at our fans forums. If the management know why the money's been withheld then there not admitting it. But the number don't add up for it to be in relation to the advances given to cover the wages like you claim.
