He’s bound to get asked. We all want to know what the latest news is regarding the stadium. Will he have any answers? Very probably, not.

It is. I guess that goes for many at the club too. An ‘economy expert’ said something on BBC News last week which rings true here: the adage ‘no news is good news’ doesn’t apply in the stock exchange. No news is potentially disasterous as shareholders lose confidence in their investment and can sell en bloc. That situation isn’t as dramatic at The Willows. However, if the supporters are kind of stakeholders, Salford could pay for their lack of communication on the stadium issue in lower season ticket take up and shirt sales.

I mentioned at the time but when the season ticket blurb came out it mentioned the move and the fact that this I think is the last season at the Willows, now if this doesnt come about and people buy season tickets on the back of this information isnt the club opening itself up to some fans having a go and rightly asking for some form of refund???.
I havent got my season ticket yet and I can see that some people will be hanging fire to see if the stadium ever gets started before they commit.

I really hope that this thread will mean that Steve Simms will come prepared and at least tell us something which does not insult our intelligence.
He is pretty well respected and ,if there are things happening on which he cannot comment, at least let him be frank in that way.

Na I didnt mean it that way, I mean I just havent got mine yet (waiting for someone to ask me what I want for Clitmatt, I mean that if it doesnt come to fruition then surely that is what the club has opened itself up to???.

I think a director of the club should know better than to read (or admit to) and react to the views expressed on message boards like this one.

Whether a Director should admit to reading this is debatable,but it does not change the basic fact that the Club should be telling us more about the latest position on the stadium.

I agree that they should not pay much attention to the 'ranters' when they slag off whoever is flavour of the month but this is different.
We are simply requesting more information.

Selling fast and demand = about 4 supporters.

If enough people want answers, and there's a fan's forum held, I'm confident the question/s will be asked. I'm less confident that anything written on here would ever be addressed by a director of the club. If it were, I'd have to stop poking fun at Leigh's board!

Salford can't tell anyone very much, because it's completely out of their hands. The developers are putting in all the money and it's their project.
Reading round what's been said on various forums/newspapers etc, I can't see Salford getting a new ground of any sort.

Where this leaves them is anyone's guess, because one thing is for sure they cannot afford to stay at Weaste.

It's true, I don't monger enough doom to fit in around here...

Steve Simms was asked the question last night. Last he heard, Peel are negotiating to take over the reigns from Red City Developments vis-à-vis buidling the new stadium on the allocated land. The stadium design won't include a hotel or the conference facility. Whether that means the structure will be much different, he didn’t know. He is aware that John and Howard have sunk a considerable amount of money into the project.

More worringly how will the lack of hotel or conference facility affect our potential to bring money into the club?
