Love the Willows and will hate it when we leave but we need to progress and by the looks of it we will have a great facility to help us on our way

After all this time (best part of 10 years) we finally see work and building on the site - great effort from Wilky and the board and everyone else involved

just need a half decent team now !!!! :.....helped by a half decent coach

We just have to be patient, Rome wasn't built in a day! I'm sure within the next 2/3 years we will be competing for trophies, Warrington wouldn't have won 2 Challenge Cups in a row if they were at Wilderspool.

I have been worried about leaving the Willows. The Reebok wasn't Burnden Park and the DW definately wasn't Central Park (My homes in former lives). The atmosphere in some new stadia including the aforementioned, has been dire in comparison to the original grounds. I've been coming to the Willows since 1997 and the atmosphere was part of the reason I've enjoyed coming so much.

HOWEVER, I couldn't help feeling excited about seeing our new stadium taking shape. I think the HW Stadium has worked well for Warrington and I'm hoping we achieve something similar, (Only better of course!)

Ive said it before, the thing that makes the willows is the fans inside, the roar of the shed can easily be replicated in the new stadium, people outside our usual fanbase are getting excited, tomorrow for example i have 2 posiblly 3 "new" fans from work coming to watch the game (it helps we won sunday and and my news updates on FB regarding results / stadium updates im sure have had a effect) hopefully we'll compete and it will be a good game

People say salford are a sleeping giant, we can stiring a few result together we might wake up, with the new ground in place and with a half decent side playing attractive rugby on the eye i can only see salford going one way.

Trust me mate from a personal experiance its going to fly up now, can't wait to see it in october/november time.

I completely disagree. I can't tell you how many times i've wandered across into the second lane by staring out the window trying to get a look. It's going to get worse as the stadium gets built.

The framework will , the fitting out however is a lot more boring to watch

would it not be a good idea if some big sign/banner was visible from barton bridge for all motorists to read....something like......."THE CITY OF SALFORD STADIUM.....HOME OF THE SALFORD CITY REDS" ??

They should do, as i was talking to a lad at work in Manchester and he mentioned about the "sports centre" they are builiding on land near the motorway that has taken away one of his "scrambling" spots.

I pointed out to him that it wasnt a sports centre but the new Salford Reds RL stadium.

The stadium should make it clear to everyone that it is a RL ground and whose it is. Otherwise people will assume its a soccer stadium

There should be a big visible sign saying something like "Salford City Reds - join us here in 2012 - visit reds.co.uk for ticket info"

St. Helens new stadium site is well posted/advertised and it wouldnt do us any harm to do the same.

The basic steelwork and concrete steps takes no time at all.

What takes time is the fit out.

I think your stadium will be finished before the end of the SL season. Even if they say its only due to be completed by November.

Anyone know when the steelwork is starting at Saints? Some troll was really boasting on here a couple of months back about the new St Helens stadium being well ahead of Salford's.

I have tried to look on their stadium website on occasions but their webcam doesn't seem to be working. The latest update was about the piling on February 21st and there are no images showing steelwork on the Saints stadium forum.

I know it's totally irrelevant and not a race but I do find it a quite amusing that Salford's appears to be progressing quicker after the poster came on here really gloating about their new stadium being well further on than our's.
