| Tbh, I've had Mozza at the back of my mind for weeks now. It does make sense, he's a local lad who obviously has strong links with the club. He's played for some of the biggest clubs in the world (& Wire ) & won pretty much all there is to win. The only thing for him left is to play a part in an exciting new era for his hometown club. Still one of the best props in the game & well worth a 2 year contract IMO.
In the words of a certain grey haired Geordie ....... "I'd love it, just love it" if Mozza is The One. I would even go as far as offering to buy Smithy a pint if it happens .

We have enough props . . Cashmere, Boyle, Pala'aesina, Parker, Jewitt, Neal and could even play Sidlow there if needed. The positions I think we need to look at are hooker and another specialist winger. (Rather than playing a centre in the wing position) At hooker for next year we will have young Gareth Owen who looks a very good prospect but he will need to be worked on to try and add some body mass. Another option is to play Ashley Gibson as a pacy impact hooker in a similar role to James Roby at Saints. (He has played this position before and he is a player that knows where the try line is)

| Says in the manchester evening news this morning, that we are after a current super league player in the play offs? They had names like sinfield, leon pryce, and sean long, only speculation though? Mcrea says the talks are at a delicate stage but the player in question's club are happy to let him go if he wishes to persue a career with the city reds.?
Please be mozza!

Obviously a player still under contract then. Personally I can't see Wire letting Morley go, he's a legend at Warrington now and arguably the best player they have. The other issue will be money, Mozza is on a massive contract at Wire and I doubt we could afford him after all the other recent signings the club have made.

Leon Pryce, why would we possibly sign another 6 when we have one of the best in the league already??

Not for me we don't, we need another Cashmere type prop, I like Jewitt, Boyle, Neal and now we have Feka he'll take the Leuluai role off the bench. If we lose Cashmere for any length of time like this season we don't have anyone else with that much punch up front, the others are grafting props but with very little impact in the same style as Razor. I'd love another experienced 60 minute prop to compliment what we have. BTW Parker is never a prop.
However I totally agree with you regarding a hooker and for me another vwinger would be nice.

| I can't see Warrington just letting Morley go, especially after signing a new 2 year contract last season.
Wasn't Pryce rumoured to be on his way out of Saints not too long ago? I can't see where he'd fit into the team if it somehow happened to be him though, considering we have Holdsworth at 6 already.
Maybe after Matty Smith's performance last week they've asked if we can renege on his contract and have allowed us to talk to Eastmond...

In an ideal world yes but at least we now have some forwards that are capable of off loading the ball in the tackle. Both Cashmere and Sidlow were right up there this year.
Also I feel that Boyle, Jewitt and Neal will develop and improve even more next year. I also think that Pala'aesina will give us more go forward when he comes off the bench. (More impact from the bench than we have had this year)
It looks a much stronger set of forwards in the main and I also think Leo-Latu will provide more power and weight to the pack. In my opinion I can see the forwards averaging more metres per carry than the previous two years.

I know one of the academy coaches at wire and he thinks warrington are going in for a star name from the NRL, so if you think about it, if they want space on the cap they'd have to release one of their top earners in the side.
So morley could be on his way out to make way for another star? Would make sense for wire to consider it?
Oh by the way millward has been ruled out of becoming assistant to Mcrea, also in M.E.N

The scenario would make a little more sense but I still can't see it, especially considering he's in with a shout for Man of Steel this season. If he were to win it and then Warrington announce a couple of weeks later they're releasing him from his contract to go and play for Salford, it would kind of be a kick in the balls to their fans (not that I really care about Warrington fans' feelings ).
Will be a massive coup if we manage to pull it off but I'm not holding my breath.
I do like all this rumour and innuendo, despite the complaints from some. It would probably be quiet on here if we weren't talking about this.

I'm sure the warrington fans would easily appeased by the thought of a top NRL player coming in.
I'm also sure they would not begrudge a player leaving if he wanted to play for his hometown team. I mean It's not as if he is signing for Saints or Wigan

| Dont forget Warrington owe the Chairman a couple of favours. Firstly the Myler situation which may well have had a `codicil` in the deal & secondly the Jimmy Lowes situation.

I wonder if he's applied for the job as player/assistant coach? It wouldn't be the dumbest move he'd ever make considering the new stadium and the fact Mcrae's contract is up next year. And it's not as if he has any unfulfilled ambitions of winning every honour in the game as a player.

| I personally think if Warrington do let him go after the kind of season he has had there is something more too it, be it they know he has injury problems looming or something of that nature, you don't let your best forward and onfield leader go unless there is a very good reason.

| Though I have just had a wonderful thought.
There is a lad who goes to the games with his better half who is a few butties short of a lunchtime feast who when we played Warrington at home a couple years ago was sprouting to Mozzers Dad in the Church about him being a house for not signing for Salford. Now let's see if this lad (I want to say Colin, abt 5ft 2 and wears big shoes to stop him falling down a grid) says anything in the Church next season if he does sign, worth the cost of the contract alone me thinks.

Imagine if a team were scared to give away a penalty in your half as you have a kicker who can slot them over from there? and I think many will remember the massive yards Davis used to make for Widnes and Warrington when kicking for touch or for position.
Sorry but a resounding yes for me, but never likely to happen as he wants to be in Londodn to be nearer his kids and I'd suggest closer to the TV studios he's doing his next i'm a wannbee TV star humilate me.
