| Are we likely to see a transfer bid for Sneyd from Cas? For some reason people seem to think Salford should just cave in and let him go for free. It will be interesting to see how much Cas value him at.

| Would prefer him too go anywhere but Castleford, I personally think he will go to a big club and have a genuine crack at becoming the future England/GB scrum half.
Bit underhand if he has been promising one thing to the club then throwing this in.
Rather than any transfer fee I'd be much happier to see some good young British talent come to the club from say a Wigan, Leeds or Saints.

marwan not happy with blease'"
I'm not surprised Marwan is upset, He's spent the last month or two telling everyone how much Marc wants to stay and that he's going nowhere. I'm sure the Warrington's, Wigan's and Rhino's of this world will be willing to offer an amount that will change the good Doctors mind.
He will be absolutely fuming like any boss would if a prize asset wanted to jump ship just when things started looking like they were falling into place.
You can understand that now Marc has shown he has the ability to perform and mix it at the top level that he wants away. Why should he show loyalty to a team that we willing to loan him out to what was thought to be a relegation dog fight. I'm sure Marwan will learn from these mistakes and will think twice when sanctioning such a loan in future.

| Dual reg at Barrow next season
I can only see the Doc digging his heals in over this if he feels he's been lied too. He is under no obligation to sell unless a fee he feels is worth comes in,

| If Sneyd has an agenda it should be with Noble it was him that didn`t fancy him , the club has moved on , hopefully still with marc , Walsh going back to oz has emerged again so if saints come in for him , i wouldn`t mind a straight swap for walmsley .

A) Walsh (at this moment in time) isn't going home next year. It's a recurring rumour similar to what we had with Jamie Lyon.
B) walmsley signed a 5 year deal at the start of the season, Sneyd has 1 year left on his contract. I've seen a few times Salford fans suggest with cas fans you do a swap for Clark, also on a 5 year contract. Sneyd has a significantly lower value than either because of this,

| Let him go but at the right price no point in having unhappy players at the club, we're in desperate need of a number 9 as tomkins is going back to wigan and nowadays you need speed round the ruck!

| With the Neil Barker tweet seemingly preceeding the transfer request, the intended destination originally intended for Sneyd
cannot be established.
It probably indicates that his agent thought he could replace Green at Wigan.
Maybe his agent doesn't enjoy him being at Castleford.
Saints and Warrington may be interested.
A bit of a guts-kicker for those like Alan Hunte who have assisted in his development.

| Doesn't surprise me in the slightest and we have no one too blame but ourselves. Why would he want too come back here and be played out of position when the likes of Wigan and Wire would probably play him in his preferred position regularly.

| We (Hull FC) will take him and I am sure our chairman will be prepared to pay a fee for him, we put in a massive offer for Dobson (which you beat), so we have the salary cap for a halfback.
Unfortunately a think a few others (and more successful clubs) will also be in the running.

| I don't think anyone can deny him the right to request a fee, this should not exceed the value of his contract though.

| I was pleased last week when it was announced he was coming back next year. However, if he's changed his mind and doesn't want to play for us then get shut but not for a penny less than 125k or a decent swap deal.
It's simple he's an asset and an emerging talent that's contracted to Salford Red Devils. I can't believe some of the Cas fans on twitter who believe they should get him for free because he wants a transfer.
Let's assume another scenario. Sneyd went to Cas this year but played poorly and didn't make the team. Sneyd contracted to us is told by Salford he isn't required and we won't be honouring his contract. What do you think would happen? Sneyd and his agent would take legal action against Salford. It's crazy these contracts can't only work one way to suit the players only.

That's upper rubbish. What about all the years investment and development Alan Hunte and the club put into him.

Wouldn't sniff the Wigan starting lineup.

Nobody should expect him for free, however a tribunal would take into consideration how much a year Marc was on and how many years he had left on his contract. We all know that he only had one year left on his contract and some one must know how much he was on a year but i would hazard a guess it isn't a lot.

| Am I right in thinking that because he came through our system any wages we pay him would been curtailed as far as counting on the salary cap? if so we surely must be.have been in a position to offer him the highest wage?

No. Home grown cap cap was never voted on and is therefore yet to be implemented. Even if it had been brought in, the first 100k of his salary still counts on the cap. I wouldn't even guess how much his current contract is, but I'd bet if his next contract is 6 figures, that's probably 3/4 times the current salary ...

| But as Marwan has tweeted, he rejected a new deal from yourselves. He doesn't want to be there quite clearly.
A deal will have to be made with a club, I just hope Cas can negotiate one that suits all parties.
