| Sorry but I'm still going to have to say this is a signing we have made for the right reasons off field but the wrong ones on the field.
Hope I'm wrong and he plays more games than he misses but I remain very unsure until I see the impact he has.

| I'm assuming that Morley is one of the four signings who were said to be already 'over the line' as this one's been doing the rounds for months.
I was initially a bit apprehensive about it, but I think the off field and intangible benefits that he'll offer will be important to us. Offers more than some of our current forwards on the field as well, despite his age.

| Adrian Morley is a top quality prop who will give us go forward. OK, he's no spring chicken, but he helps to strengthen us where we need it most.
I have always believed that forwards win matches; backs decide how many you win by. Our pack needs to be able to dominate other packs and this signing can only help.
Looking forward to many more announcements of quality signings.

| Good signing for me. It is probably more about his presence and his 'off the field' work, but let's not forget, he can still mix it.
As someone said previously, after a few bumper pay days going to Oz and going to Warrington, I'm sure he doesn't need this for his pension.

| I'm actually quite emotional at the prospect of such a legend as Mozza, leading us, his home town team who he has always had ambitions to play for, into a new season and era for the club.
I hope he is made captain, he's one of us, a hard working Salfordian who has been lucky enough to realise his dreams and to be honest there is nobody else I'd rather have.
I cant wait for that first game of 2014 and Moz's first drive in from the kick off...

| Another good singing. He's a marked improvement on anything we already have even at 37, and he'll do a fantastic job of gathering interest again in Salford. Roll on 2014!!!

Let's be honest he's not always had ambitions to play for us and, if he did, he would have been mad to considering the success he's had everywhere he has been. I don't begrudge him for one second playing for all the clubs he has, it was clearly the right decision but let's not pretend he's always held desires to turn out for us. He's told many a Salford fan who has asked him down the years that he would sign for Salford when his knees were shot.
As for the signing itself, I'd echo the majority view on here in that he's still better than most of our forwards but his age and fitness is a concern considering the massive salary he'll be on. On the positive side, I agree it's probably a gamble worth taking if we can get him on the coaching staff when he retires from playing and if he brings a good mentality to the club.

While I'd guess Morley will be one of the four, I'm not so sure that Sa'u will necessarily be one of them.

| GET IN! Really chuffed by this signing, possibly the most iconic player the club has ever signed. Last icon I think we signed was Andy Greg and he didn't have the same link to Salford as Mozza. Good contract as well and I am sure he will help the club off the field as much as on it. Th eyoungsters in our team have look a little bit lost at times this year but imagine standing next to Mozza knowing hes on your side!! He might get a couple of injuries but if we manage him well enough I think we will get a decent season out of him. Everyone raves about Mcphearson being our best forward but I bet we get more game time from Mozza next year than we have Shannon this year and the two in tandom would be great.
I think its starting!! don't tell the Cas fans

| Walshovski - You know this because? I think you'll find Moz has always had ambitions of playing for Salford, he has made no secret of that if you've ever had the pleasure to meet him. I'm pretty sure he mentioned this morning in his interview with GMR. Also, I have never once heard him or anyone else say this would be when his knees were shot either.

| He'll finally get some respite from his family .
Quote 2007-Did you have a warm welcome back in your home town of Salford when you played in a pre-season friendly there for Warrington?
I had all the "Judas" stuff, and that was just my family! Apart from that it was just typical rugby league fans' stuff and I didn't expect anything less from them.
Is there part of you that would have liked to have been playing for Salford? I would have liked to represent my home town as a professional. I played for Salford Schoolboys, so it's a small regret that I never played for the club. I did speak to Salford before I came back to Britain, but the talks didn't go on for too long. I think the new stadium will be great for the club and the city of Salford in general. It could have had a bearing on my decision, but it's probably 18 (correction 72 ) months or more down the line.

That idea that Adrian Morley ever had any intention of signing for Salford when he was in his pomp is fanciful.
See Middleman's quote, he had a chance to come here when he returned from Australia but wisely went to Warrington because we were a total mess and they were on the cusp of becoming a top side. I'm not blaming him and I feel nothing but pride that someone from Salford has captained Great Britain (something that would not have happened had he played for us at the height of his career) but let's not start pretending he's always harboured intentions of playing for Salford.
It falls into the same category as Salford fans singing that cringeworthy Ratchford's coming home song. Ratchford may well come back one day if the money is right but if he loved the place that much he would never have left in the first place.
