Just listened to Sheens on Boots'n all and I think all Salford fans that go on a downer, and let's face it that's all of us from time to time, should keep recordings of his interviews to bring them back to normality. He's always interesting, level-headed, and commands respect. I just wish he'd have had the job when Noble went. The best thing about having him is that RL journalists don't take the like they do with MK. Marwan should be moving heaven and earth to hold on to him for next season. Or at least be slipping the Aussie selectors a few quid to offer the job to someone else...

Anyone listen to the interview with Sheens on Boots n All? Seems pretty posative to me, sounded as if the Aussie job was at the back of his mind and fully focuses on finishing the season well and even mentioned coming back again this year for preseason. One thing I did take out of the interview was player movement, he saying players don't stick around and move quite regulary these days. All said with a calming voice and influence, just frustrating that if a player moving on from Salford for financial reasons like he said in the interview, the media and even worse our fans, look at some motive to what MK has done to make the player want to leave.

HH is replaceable, he's been steady performer id of rather kept but Paterson on the other hand is a big loss as he's been a try scoring machine for us this season. If Leigh is his choice then surely he cant play Sunday?

I wonder if the club want HH off the salary cap as from what I've heard from a friend at the club he is on some serious till, till that would pay someone with better ability.

I'd personally love to see HH's wage spent on Kirkmond if Wakefield don't make the cut.

Players play against their new Clubs quite a bit without any problems. Look at Tuivasa-sheck and Luke playing against the Warriors. Or Taylor playing against Hull. Or Hodkinson against Newcastle. Etc etc

just that his mind set might not be fully focused - look how uninterested Tasi has been since his move was announced. Would CP want to play for Leigh if they are not in SL?. This is such a vital game for both sides, win this and we are one foot in SL, if Leigh lose again its an uphill task for them and in my opinion we surely need a side that is fully committed to winning this game?

Not new news though is it? Both players are also replaceable. Paterson has been great for us this season, but it’s not like we cant go over to the NRL and pick up a player of equal and better quality. I’m also told his move isn’t dependent on Leigh being in Super League.

Hansen has been wanting out for a while now and his destination is likely on whether Leigh gain promotion or not. Due to living in the town, he has become very friendly with the players there and is often seen as the LSV whenever Salford aren’t playing. There is no chance that he will go there though unless they are promoted.

Whilst I accept we had an awful run of injuries and suspensions, lets not forget these are players that ultimately finished 11th in Super League. If we can get rid and recruit better then it’s a no-brainer.

I just hope this is also the end of the protracted contracts that MK put together to tempt over players like Hansen and Chase in the first place. These have caused the majority of issues between player and club and aren’t needed.

Vickers just continues to embarrass himself doesn’t he? The sooner we have a CEO with some form of sporting administrative experience the better.

I can't see the logic in constantly chopping/changing our first team squad. What we need is a bit of continuity and stability if we want to make any form of progression.

I'm at a point where I'm feeling completely disillusioned with what is happening behind the scenes at our club.

JGR has most of the story correct, its no coincidence that all the want-way players or players already left are the so called "Big names" the club came out with when Marwan took over.

Ways around the cap were well publicised at the time by Marwan himself stating they were easy to get around, the problem is if he decides to change his mind about being forthcoming with this "added incentive" then the players quickly turn, as would any one of us.

TP, Locke, Hock, HH, Paterson, Rangi, Morley all fall into this category so work the rest out for yourself.

Fages is a completely separate issue which is to do with player protection & wellbeing, im sure this will also come out sooner or later but I don't see anything but a Fages victory in this instance too.

The rest of the players on normal contracts will be getting paid as this is covered by the RFL payments to the club from the TV deal. The recent player extensions were announced after both players were offered around to other clubs with no interest forthcoming.

The major issue is that the RFL are fully aware of all the breaches, brown envelope non-payments, behind the scenes problems, bailiffs, non visa payments, insurance issues, kit issues, medical staff concerns as are all the other clubs, coaches, players ETC and therefore I really don't see how this will all work out in the end?

Brown Envelopes? Don`t make me laugh. Bookmakers use them every day to reduce Racing Runners to less than 8 and less than 16. Untraceable arent they?

I am sure Marwan will get all players truly focussed with the excellent bonus expected for Sundays game.

Brown envelopes might be non-traceable, but promises of additional payments on letter headed paper from other business interests are not.
