Get a grip Salford Red Devils - this is a Rugby League club not a Sunday school.
Concentrate a bit more on tackling opponents rather than tackling moral turpitude and we might not have been nilled last night

I cant work out whether you're serious or joking. Surely you cant be that narrow minded. Whilst religion isnt important to me, it is to someone people and some of those people are our new overseas signing. If a chaplain helps these players settle in and feel happier at the club, so be it.

That's fine, but it doesn't need to be in the programme as well.

Agreed.
No room for Religious nonsense stuffed into the programme. It's fine for people to believe whatever fairytale they want, but it shouldn't be thrust under everyone elses nose.

Perfectly serious JGR - people can believe what they like, but I fail to see what a page in the program from a christian fundamentalist adds to the experience of watching a Salford game.
Shouldn't we even it up a bit, let's have a Rant from the Rabbi and some Invective from the Imam perhaps even an Acknowledgement of Atheism?
To me all religions are ludicrous, I come to the stadium to watch Salford, to be entertained (hopefully by Salford but certainly not last night!!!) and not to be distracted by religious propaganda.

It wasn't great was it and bloody freezing? Saints are a good team and they walloped us as per at HJ so a reality check all round.
My overall match day experience as a neutral was decent enough apart from the game itself, decent seat in the West Stand a pre match beer listening to a covers band in the bar whilst ogling scantilly clad programme sellers I just expected some fireworks on the pitch

They all added to something better than the 'non game' fare I'm used to, so if it's an area that your club is looking to get right then fair play. Plenty of community pom pom and cheerleading but quite like a bit of Junior RL action at HT Leigh East and Trafford? Casting your net a bit.
Not sure about the air-raid siren, or the version of "Pale Moon Risng" but think that "Dirty Old Town" is a great song for a Club anthem

I can't understand the necessity to call anyone who has religious beliefs an idiot.
How can you be distracted by it? It is easily avoided just as some people ignore adverts for cars or anything else in the programme which doesn't hold their interest.
Since this so-called Christian country has eschewed religious study to become a secular society it does seem, supported by lots of official findings, that society has worsened.
Not wishing to spend a lot of time on this topic I shall finish by addressing your signature.

It's not my thing having all the extra entertainment on, but I realise it's a part of attracting families and supporters in the modern game. The club now seem to know what they're doing on this front, which is good to see. I agree on the air-raid siren, but we've used that for a while, it's a bit silly. I can't make my mind up about the version of Bad Moon Rising, but that's mainly because I can't hear it properly. Which may actually answer that point, in a way.

Because this country was always a crime-free, respectful paradise when people believed in God...

Now, I'm much more of a live and let live type than I used to be, and the Turkey may not be the ideal place for sociological debate, but that's just complete and utter nonsense. What does it even mean?

| Instead of printing an article in the matchday programme could the aforementioned chaplain not stand outside the ground with a large placard held above his head with the words " repent sinners " as was the norm outside all the grounds in the late seventies / eighties.
At Wilderspool the matchday experience started when you were accused of being a sinner as you walked towards the ground.

Despite there being some particularly evil people within the church, and Christianity,I haven't seen them refer to people as 'idiots' and as a supporter all people involved with the club should be supported.

"I can't understand the necessity to call anyone who has religious beliefs an idiot."
People are quite entitled to voice an opinion. Just because it's Religion does not mean it has some special dispensation when someone questions it.
"It is easily avoided just as some people ignore adverts for cars or anything else in the programme which doesn't hold their interest."
This is true. But why should people have to? The article has no bearing on the game. If the programme contained an article on growing potatoes, apart from aspiring gardeners, most would not see the relevance. It's the same in this case.
"Since this so-called Christian country has eschewed religious study to become a secular society it does seem, supported by lots of official findings, that society has worsened."
Without going into great detail, shall we forget the last 4000 odd years of religious upheaval, war and genocide?
It's all very well saying it does no harm, and it probably doesn't. But that does not mean it has a place in a sporting programme. If the article had been an Atheist anti-religious piece it would still be out of order. These kinds of inner questions are what people escape from when they visit sporting venues.

| Seems a bit weird to me. Religion doesn't really have any place in sports in the UK.
In other parts of the world, religion and sport have a closer association but it's just not the case here. In America, players often 'take a knee' before a game and pray. I also remember when I went to on a tour of the Nou Camp a couple of years ago and they had a little church-style prayer room in the players' tunnel.

Given that the first two are pastors for English and Scottish football respectively, I'd suggest we'd be better off steering well clear.
