To be honest I know he has his doubters but he's got a hell of a good scoring rate and I'm willing to bet if he gets a good run in the Cas team he'll get a fair few next season.

He's one we need to thank for helping us start the season and for me being a good steady player.

I hope the replacement for Wagga is an improvement, I think it's Tommy Lee who I'm not sure is really any better personally. Remains to be seen next Thursday who we have brought in to hopefully partner Owen.

I'd have kept him on as a squad player (if he'd be happy with that). Injuries are inevitable and he's versatile enough to cover several positions and gets over the line.

Maybe Ford will be the backup centre.

That's quite a scoring record for someone playing in a bottom three side.

I've always said that his scoring rate is bloody good when you consider the clart sides he's played in at Salford.

Would like to thank Ashley for standing by us in our darkest hours, always liked him, I know he has some defensive frailties, but scoring record impressive, and never gives less than 100%.

Gibson's done well for us, often thrown in to plug the gap wherever someone was missing. Hopefully he carries on with success, just not against us.

Yep, just seen the tweet from BBC Radio Manchester reporting the James to Wigan deal. There was a rumour on their board a few weeks ago that he was seen at an U18's game in Wigan gear. Massive improvement from him this year. Sorry to see both go but it's actually exciting to think of who we may have signed as replacement's if were willing to let them leave.

I was of the understanding James was joining North Wales next year as he had been offered a job in RL Development in Wales.

The James news is dissapointing, I have been impressed with him since Noble's arrival and thought he'd be a more than useful squad player next year. I'm just glad the likes of James, Gibson etc are all finding new employment which they more than deserve after the uncertainty they faced in the off-season.

Think Ashley's defence has been a lot better this season and he will do well at Cas. He'll certainly score tries if he gets a good run in the team. Sorry to see him go.

But he can play wing and has also filled in at hooker for us. As a utility player who can find his way to the line, I suspect he will be included in the team more often than he isn't.

It may be that he does both jobs. It's not necessarily the case that the Wigan role is full-time. He'll also be working with Iestyn Harris, which reinforces the Welsh connection.

We also have Davies in the centres who can also play second row. Watched him over the last few games and seems a decent prospect. Like a previous quote can't see Gleeson lasting a full season so need a reliable back up.

We've got more than enough cover, as it currently stands for 2014 we've got Gleeson, Sa'u, McGoldrick, Walton, Hope and Davies plus any further signings. In addition Meli is more than capable of turning in a decent performance at centre too (infact the majority of Saints fans will tell you it's his best position thesedays).

We don't know really , months of conjecture & Twitter talk, the names linked with may in fact be dead deals dropped months ago and the club could focusing on other players as it were ' below the radar '
