I need four (preferably open minded) 'guinea pigs' to go to Sale's big game against Harlequins tomorrow and feedback on their experiences for an article I'm writing.

Presumably you have a series of questions lined up that will be driven by a pre-determined perspective/perspectives? Could you shed any light on this for the purpose of clarity?

No particular editorial agenda. I arranged for three Sale fans to attend a Salford game and asked them to document their experiences (eg, atmosphere, matchday experience, interaction with fans) and to complete the circle I could do with getting a couple of Salford fans to Sale.

Fans of both games have strong preconceptions about the other sport and its supporters, and I'm interested to learn whether any of these attitudes are justified.

I have four (free tickets) for anyone who's open minded enough to give it a go and willing to spare a few minutes sharing their experiences/perceptions.

I'd argue that the lack of an agenda certainly validates the ultimate piece. I'd be particularly interested in the comparisons and contrast of the respective contributions, although this perhaps deviates from what you're attempting to achieve.

Where will the article appear? Are you freelance or employed? (Or prefer not to say?) I'd like to read it regardless.

Freelance these days. There's a related feature appearing in the June issue of Forty-20 and this was originally scheduled to appear alongside it as a 'breakout' piece but had to be shelved because of copy deadlines.

This piece will hopefully appear, in one form or other, in a variety of places.

I need a couple of willing 'victims' first though.

Why don't you come along, tell me how much you hate the experience and how you hate all the people you meet just as much as you expected to, and then you'll have some concrete evidence to base your prejudices on.

If you're lucky, you might even spot some union-loving toffs kicking a peasant child to death. You're convinced that Sale and all its fans are a 'bad lot' and this could be your way of proving it. Forever.

If you sent the Rah Rah fans to the Leeds game then I do not expect this.

The union fans attended the Hull KR game, so not a great advert for RL but their comments on other aspects of the day were interesting.

Both articles will be unbiased and will represent the views of ordinary fans of both sets of fans without prejudice. You'll have to buy Forty-20 on the 13th of June to find out.

Ps, the focus of the article isn't to find out which game people prefer; I think that's inherent and a pointless/entirely subjective basis for discussion.

I haven't written a single word promoting rugby union. I simply invited fans of our club to attend a game at Sale and then provide me with feedback based on first hand experience; I did the same thing on the Sale forum but without the negative response.

Oh come on ,you have been telling us how good it is for Salford that the move in with my club is going to benefit both clubs.IT ISNT,it will benefit your rah rah outfit because its cost you nothing,they are not moving in with my club for our benefit they are doing it for theirs,just like they did at Stockports ground.Now lets ask you,what benefits are Salford going to get from this move.Still waiting for Early Bath to tell us his 30.
