He's contracted to Widnes for next year so hopefully he'll be ready made to go into the first team SL squad. Looking forward to seeing how he goes.

That would be entirely possible. We shouldn't rule out that England will tempt him onto the international scene before he quits England later in life. All things are possible in rugby league.

Get over it and build your own.
Trying to convert players that have emigrated to another Country and then trying to get them to link back to the Country they left is desperate.
If they felt they are English why did they leave and seek another countries Citizenship?
If Reed or Widdop feel they are English they should move back to their "Heritage countries" and live there.
Taking the training, development and money that builds them into top grade players and then playing for another Nation that has had nothing to do with their development is poor in my opinion.

Widdop was 16 when he moved with his family and already playing Rugby League.

You would think that with all the training, development and money in the NRL building all these top grade players they wouldnt need to be using the SoO to try and steal players who were born and raised in other countries and strengthen the kangaroos. Like they have with Uate.

Really? did you think before you said that? thats pretty much the case with the majority of truly world class footballers, and certainly most guys who play for Brazil for example. its also the case with pro cricketers all over the world.
not to mention most if not all rugby league playing nations to a greater or lesser extent.

Fingers crossed that the Broncos make the play offs, or it's probably all over for him at the Broncos. It would be great for him to play in those.

personally i think every SL club should send 2 or 3 of their most promising kids to the NYC for a season

He's enjoyed it so much over there we might have to send a crack team of heavies to bring him home. Need him back over here now!

Will he go straight into your SuperLeague squad next year?

He'll be in the squad definitely, be interesting to see whether viewed as first team or back up though. Really impressed in pre season games for us and the fact that when fit he was always selected for Brisbane says a lot IMO.

Pardon my ignorance but is that first grade? Either way, he's probably already worth a shot in SL.
