Perhaps we should retrospectively void the MOS awards handed out to a few former winners too. Graham for biting Slater's ear, Chase for breaking that Fev players jaw, Tomkins for giving the V sign, and Long for his betting incident.

Calling someone a Facking bent Cvnt is a public disorder/breach of the peace offence one which can and does get you arrested on the street plus an on the spot fine.
'Bent' is in equal measure referring to someone whom is homosexual and one whom isn't playing by the rules in a balanced way.
To suggest that the word 'bent' is a throwback to the 70s is just laughable, you hear the word used all the time with reference to people whom are gay. Used the way JP did is extremely offence & should have been punished.

The language used is in direct violation of the RFLs code of conduct and is clearly seen being shouted by JP to the referee.
If anyone denies that then they are either blind or just do not want to admit the truth.
That the two faced, shysters that are the RFL has done nought about this just comes across as covering and not wanting to haul a well respected player over the coals, especially since he is the holder of an MBE an ex national capt & TV pundit etc.
It would be a major embaressment for JP personally, his family and the wider rugby community..so the RFL have brushed this under the carpet..not a murmer (which in itself is frankly disgraceful), there can be no other reason not to have him up on similar charges to Hardaker.

There's no point trying to have a discussion about it here because as The Avenger has said, fans (& not just whinos) don't want to admit there is a problem here...seems the acceptance of homophobic/abusive language directed toward players and or officials is rife within RL fans forum and beyond.
It would seem clear that a fair portion just do not have the mental capacity to understand the ramifications..those I pity..the ones that do are the dangerous ones here, I'd like to hope that these types aren't passing down their twisted view on the world to any youngsters but sadly the way things are going in society that is just not going to happen.

Peacock's verbal volley should have resulted in a fine or suspension but for anyone to claim that it was in any way similar to Hardaker's offence, for which he should have been sacked, is truly, and knowingly, ridiculous.

Was Peacock's comment said to the ref or, was he thinking out loud? If he said the words out of earshot of the ref, in frustration, but not directly to him then I can understand why no charge was made.

Chris Hill has been utterly Sensational in pretty much every game he has played and must be in with a great shout of winning MOS.

Its going to take some forward to be able to match Hills stats this season.

so he's played 4 more games than Peacock, and only made 144 more meters?

He's twice as effective as a try scorer, 3 x more assists, makes more tackles per game but more crucially misses far far less tackles, Hill makes more Busts, averages more meter per carry and makes 7 x the number of clean breaks that Peacock does.

As for the played more games, I'd hazard a guess that Peacocks spent more minutes on the field than Hill despite playing in less games.

The stats tell us that Hill is a far more damaging front rower/player than Peacock is!

I have seen stats in previous seasons which showed Peter Fox better than Ryan Hall, and Geg Eden better than Sam Tomkins.

The stats, are moment in time measure. They give nothing factual on the influence a player has on other parts of the game, things that are not measured. Such as how many tackles have resulted in knock ons from the opposition, how many carries as resulted in the opposition giving a penalty away, did a run attract the opposition to one side to leave the space on the other, did a good tackle hurt the opposition. These are vital information.

It doesn't matter what the numbers are currently, Peacock is far more influential and important to that Leeds team than Hill is to Wire. This is a consideration when MOS is voted upon.
