It has to be no relegation, it wont be an even playing field with covid affecting games and most games played on a neutral ground.

It was only a few months ago that some people were shouting that the 12th team for super league was definitely Bradford and that if no relegation was announced it would prove how corrupt the game was....

I do wish Leigh well and hope they have a good season but that reaction to relegation surprised me

Given the other applicants, the fact that they were "considered" is worrying enough.

Anyway, moving back on topic, how the season pans out will depend on the covid situation, both in terms of how it affects the players but, more importantly, just when spectators are allowed back in reasonable number.
There is certainly huge advantage for the 4/5 clubs that are hosting "covid safe" games as we start the season and how long this situation remains will certainly affect results.
However, home advantage, with a "full house" would help significantly more.

For now, it will be great just to have some decent sport to watch.

Seeing how Leigh cope with relatively short time to prepare and whether they strengthen further plus, whether Huddersfield, with their new coach and players will make any challenge for a top 4 spot.
Plus GI at Warrington, not to mention the resurgence of Trinity

Same old story as far as grand final is concerned it'll be either saints Wigan or Leeds...challenge cup could go to an outsider like Huddersfield hull cats..

I know that both Huddersfield and Hull "like" a merger especially if a SL spot is up for grabs but, that's never going to work.
Playing at Wakefield, which is central for all 3 clubs seems to make sense

Think Huddersfield will do well this year. Coach and player recruitment looks pretty exciting for them.

They lead the league in 2013 scoring more points than anyone else, so maybe they will impress...

However when it came to the real business end Warrington saw them off in the cup and play offs.

I'll be closely following Leigh's challenge for 11th. spot.....

Warrington very well backed and pushing hard to break the Saints/Wigan domination. Their time may have come.

There are fewer Warrington born,and Warrington Academy trained players in the Warrington squad than there are French born,and trained,players in Catalans squad.

With the uncertainty that their coach will last the season,having stated his intention to return to Australia at the end of the campaign,I think it unlikely to be Warrington emerging this year to win silverware.

Shouldn’t that comparison be about English players at Warrington.

Wigan and Saints loo better than the rest and Leigh seem to be up against it from the off.
Outside of the top 5 here, it really could be in any order.

Catalan, with probable travel restrictions could really struggle and it will be interesting to see whether clubs are permitted to travel down there, especially in the first part of the season.

For Leigh to really compete, they will need to make a couple more signings and build the siege mentality and then hope for some luck with key players staying fit.
Trinity too could do without their wretched luck of the last couple of seasons with injuries.

think your being a bit unkind to cas there and catalan I'd have them a bit higher up than that

As for Catalan, it really does depend on how they get on with travelling and the pandemic.
No question they have some good players, although it looks like they may not have Folou any longer ?
