I think it's a joke as that has been a similar line by Cas fans in both our wins this year, we also got critised by Cas fans for being boring and taking two points when we had the chance, be interesting to see if those fans say similar tonight. You do what you need to do to win games, Cas learnt that tonight and got the two points.

You lost, that's why your 9 points behind us... for the first time against you we played 6.5/10 and we won. We are top of the league by such a margin because when we play our best we consistently win.

| Back to back wins in rainy conditions against sides in the top 4 (surely cas aren't any good in the rain so they will lose on a rainy night at old trafford), 10/10 at home this season, over 11 months unbeaten at home, effectively 9 points clear at the top and we just about ended the Hull FC jinx over us. Thought we were 7/10 last week and 6/10 tonight. Whilst I'm sure there's more to come from Hull rest assured , there is from us too.

| It's interesting to see that when Cas come up against a good defence and can't utilise the standard overlap to Eden there performance gets scored a 6 out of 10. In that case I would score Hull 4 out of 10 for the terrible completion rate.
I honestly think Castleford are done
for myself and would be surprised to see them make the grand final. That's not sour grapes either I hope they win it if we don't but I can't see them in the GF. It's the time of year when teams raise there game and I'm interested to see if Cas can go with them.

| I don't think you can write Cas off, they are a very good side, if they can learn from the cup game, which in some ways they did last night, they won't be far off, remind me of us last year, EE faded, but had enough to win a trophy

The amount of mental and physical energy burnt in the cup final last year, it was understandable you faded a little. Sadly we don't have that distraction. We will have opportunities to rest players in the run up the a 2 game playoff series (1 at home) so I'm fairly optimistic we can avoid the burnout scenario. With Junior Moors back late August as well, will be a timely boost.

| The LLS is all but done and dusted in record time but still some people doubt the ability cas have.guess time will tell but you wouldn't back against a team that hasn't lost at home in nearly 12 month in a play off game.

In a high intensity play off game, id still back Hull Leeds or Wigan, home or away.
Until Cas prove they can win those games, my opinion won't change.
Not a dig by the way, you are a great team, but as yet unproven in the big games.
Good luck for the rest of the season

| You are right cas are untested in high intensity finals.
I've always seen hull as my second team but I've got to be honest after 1 slightly lucky comeback win at Wembley last year I don't see how you can rank yourselves with Leeds and Wigan as big game specialists.

| I think Cas will probably go unbeaten at home to be honest and make the grand final. I reckon Hull win a Cas v Hull grand final though, especially if Ellis is fit by then.

Agreed we arent at the levels of Wigan or Leeds, but we HAVE won pressure games recently, one of them very recently......
Genuine question, how many of the current tigers have won a major trophy?

| Personally, I'd see the league leader's shield as a massive success this season. Not many clubs have won any SL trophy, whether that be the LLS or the grand final.
What happens after that is often in the lap of the Gods. Any of the top four should be able to beat each other, and it will come down to who performs over 80 minutes of a play-off and then who performs in the grand final.
One thing is for sure - any club would trade Cas' place in the league at the moment.

Obviously as you're top. However, I doubt any of Leeds, Hull or Salford would swap their season as a whole so far for yours since they're all still in the top four and in the cup semi finals.

Can you explain why it was a lucky win at Wembley?
What was lucky was the way Hull gift d you 2 tries in the first half.
I went to Wheldon Road last night exp citing to see this Cas side which is sweeping all before them play some of expansive, off the cuff rugby. Instead I saw the opposition stifle the, from playing their normal game.
Hull have the measure of Cas. Cas may have won, but Hull have found the way to competing and beating Cas.

Maybe not, but that depends on your perspective.
I'd rather win the LLS than lose in a cup semi or in the cup final.
Only one of the four teams left in the cup will win it.
There are only three trophies available per year. Cas have a firm grasp on one of them, whereas the clubs still in the cup have a 25% (roughly!) chance of winning it.
I'd rather be eight points (+ a massive points difference) ahead in the league than in the semi-final of the cup.
