Todd Carney is a young representative quality halfback - 5/8 with a drinking problem.

The Raiders are loathe to sack him, for fear he would simply be picked up by another NRL club or alternatively he would just follow Tim Smith and be lost to the game in Australia.

He has all the skills of Tim Smith, a longer kicking game and more creativity. He kicks goals also.
