What rumours exactly? Something Karen on Facebook said or was it someone on the VT? Like I've previously said, everyone knows that we're not flush with cash and, on occasion, players have moved on to help balance the books. This isn't uncommon in sport and certainly not RL. As I'm part of the Salford Supporters Trust, I've attended many a fans meeting attended by our Director Paul King and CEO Ian Blease and they've always been open and honest about our situation and it's common knowledge that we're looking for new investment to help us compete at full cap. So I'm more than happy to believe a couple of.guys who pretty much run the club over the usual "if the rumours are true* type of gibberish spouted on internet forums by someone who's got no credible source.

Fev should have been "promoted" just as soon as SL decided that it wanted / needed 12 clubs for next season.
The current situation is ugly and will get much uglier, especially when clubs find out who has been given the "golden ticket".

With very little on field action last season in The Championship, the SL place should have automatically gone to Rovers.

A shocking and awful incident but over ten years ago. The only rugby league ground where I have ever been attacked was at Leigh, are you happy for me to rule them out too?

Warrington, Leeds and Hull KR would be out too, in fact, most teams in SL at some point!

Ten years ago, but the charge sheet has many entries over the intervening period,more than anyone else for sure and probably with the same persons involved.

Not really a golden ticket! It’s not a level playing field. So who has the money to waste? Who has the balls to spend?

Don't get yer knickers in a twist pal, you coach has left to a poorer side and that alone should send the alarm bells ringing.

Read what I state again and Salford should be just fine but they won't be cracking any pots buddy. Ian Watson has done a wonderful Job. Richard Marshall is a good coach but as YOU have stated, books will need balancing.

And I've had a look at Leigh's current squad. No offence to Leythers but it's packed full of SL cast-offs who in most cases are Championship standard. I see nothing in that squad to think they'll finish anywhere near Salford next season if fast-tracked into SL. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that either.

Coached well,they’ll do well. Same as Salford. Leigh have nothing to prove... Leigh also don’t carry any financial issues. How Salford are surviving without income beggars belief.

that would be the worse thing for them to do skipping the championship to join in the super league not only would it alienate the fans but to reach anything like competative would be a massive ask,
we still haven't heard anything about toronto club whether they intend to play in the championship, maybe they can get that american league up and running toronto, ottawa and new york

The North American clubs are just looking for some $Billionaires with a little more staying power to set this up. Why is it people can dream all this, but I can't dream of Newcastle straight to Superleague?



In terms of the Toulouse bid I have just counted their imports in the current squad. They only have five French players in the first choice matchday 17.....Much like Les Catalans. If we had two French clubs in Superleague, with few if any Frenchmen in them would that work for you?

It's still a "free" entry into the top flight, something which usually has to be earned on the field of play and even though there should be full funding, in line with the other 11 clubs, the circa £1,000,000 is still significantly more than any Championship club will receive.
All SL clubs should receive the same funding, although this is RL and what's "right" doesn't seem to matter.
