There are no players on the pitch, the game isn’t been played at the time of the photo. Most Canadian sports fans arrive at the game after kick off.

Wow, with that evidence Toronto Wolfpack should immediately be kicked out of the Championship.

I hope Toronto succeed but having watched all their games I'd be surprised if they had a gate over 3000 whatever crowd size they announce ,you sound like you work for there marketing department

The point being made was that actual bodies in the stadium don't appear to be anywhere near the declared attendance. It's normal to include ST holder in attendances, so TW are doing nothing wrong, but it does give a distorted view of how many folk in Toronto actually want to turn up and watch RL.

How you twist that point into anyone wanting TW kicked out of the competition is beyond me. I acknowledged they have decent crowds, but just questioned the actual numbers.

I wonder how this lengthy run of away fixtures will affect their crowds when/if(!) they return to the Lamport Stadium? The paying public may be gagging to see more RL, or they may have forgotten completely about it come June/July.

Methinks it may well take a huge marketing drive to get fans back into the habit, despite the promise of seeing some new, exotic visitors.

With 3000 fans they still have more than than the SL wasters like Wakefield, hudds and Salford so what’s the problem?

I never said Toronto were lying about their crowds. They're legitimately able to include non-attending ST holders in the numbers. The visual evidence would suggest that these accounted for a good proportion of their attendances last season, which is the only point being made. It will be interesting to see how things pan out when they eventually play another game at home.

I cannot fathom how a team which contains so many former NRL and Super League players could be struggling against everybody in the Championship.

Is it Cunningham's Curse?

Highly unlikely, but they now need to win all their games to stand a chance of getting another £500k in 20 months time

Fax's performance was their best this season (which isn't saying a lot), but based on what I saw from Leigh today, they are a team in turmoil and have little chance of making the top 4. Too strong to still be flirting with the drop at the end of the season though.

Doubt we'll get relegated, but last season's squad wouldn't have been as bad as this. Pre-season Mr. Beaumont "couldn't believe we sold 900 less season tickets' than in 2017. Our season is now over, apart from making sure we stay in the championship for 2019. Next season we will do well to sell 900 season tickets.

The Reason.

Leigh remind me a bit of London in 2015 after relegation. Completely shell shocked at the moment and unable to adapt. You'd think they'd have some idea having only been in that league the season before last and having competed in the middle 8s.

They won't get relegated, but their promotion hopes are definitely over. They need to adjust for next season... when they find out what the structure is obviously!
